Is any one kinda shocked we haven't seen a video review of the ROTF $100 Devastator yet? From someone who smuggled him from a factory and sold him online the same way we get all these early video looks at figs way before they are actually released.. And when is Devastator to be out in stores anyway? Has any source every said a release date?

As large as Devs is, I would imagine it'd be a bit difficult to smuggle one out of a factory. He's supposed to be released sometime around August I think.

That would be a really big Chinese guy who could slip that figure into his pocket and stroll out of the factory...

I'm surprised we haven't seen video of it yet either. And it's true that he'd be difficult to get out in one piece, but if he was separated into his individual components and smuggled out....that's humanly possible.

Someone with balls bigger than Devastator's will.

To say nothing of whether even our deep-pocketed "early release" team members would care to pay 2-3x retail + overseas shipping for the thing.

Maybe they've not actually begun production on him, as they're waiting to free up some spaces on the assembly lines for his six parts in the sweatshops

The guy who stocks toys at my local Wal-Mart told me that the $100 giftset was being released as a Holiday item, so I would guess around November.

This is probably closer to the truth. I can imagine that they could smuggle him out (hey, they disassemble leaders and reassemble them at home all the time right... same could be done with this... thing...), but I can't imagine any of our "early release" team actually shelling out double retail and then overseas shipping on this thing.

No, according to Hasbro he's being released in August. I believe it was stated at both Toy Fare and Botcon.

I just wanna see this $100 rip off in action before I decide beyond a shadow of a doubt that I never want one.. So a video review will be awesome when one finally shows up.. True too big to smuggle all together, but the seperate parts seem possible thats why I am shocked it hasn't happened yet..

I'm so sick of hearing people complain about the pricing on this guy. I highly doubt we will ever have to pay that price. Look at the deluxes, we were all scared they were gonna be $14 a pop and were paying $7.99

Yeah, but the main problem is that you're paying $100 for a Megazord.

I really just want to see if he can be posed on all fours like we've seen in the trailers.

I honestly think quite more of these will sell than we think, assuming success of the film that is, as kids may definitely beg for this guy around X-mas. I know as a kid, if I wasn't all that concerned with G1 articulation and just happy to have Devy then today's kids will be overjoyed to have this huge beast that at least transforms into individual vehicles also.

Not to mention he can pull off his vortex attack look with electronic sounds. I'll get the Legend's Devy for all three transformations, but I may consider this bad boy sometime in the future just to have a freakin Huge Devy to put on display and leave him in permanent combined mode.

You missed my point. I don't think any of us will be be paying a $100. By the way Megazords usually run 30 to 40 bucks. They are much smaller, less detailed, weaker transformations, crappier electronics and so on.

You're probably right on that one. Right as in... the majority of the fandom will wait for it to be clearanced out the bunghole after the holiday seasons. Or, they just won't buy it altogether.

Or I meant that I will be on sale a week or two after sightings start. I also anticipate that Devastator will become a point of price cutting and competition. It will be a loss leader for the holiday season.
