It was 10 years ago today, that my Dad had died due to heart failure on the morning of August 28th 2002. He was like any other dad anyone has. As well that he was a fan of Star Wars, Star Trek: TNG, Doctor Who & The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I kinda gone thorugh a difficult time after that. Now ten years later, I still wish he was here. The last time I spoke to him was helping me doing my Homework for 4th grade weather, and he was quite proud of it.

I wish he was back, he would've like the Transformers films.

Wow. I'm sorry this happened to you man. Losing a loved one is never easy, but I can guess losing one at that age is much harder

Sorry that happened to you man at such a young age man.

I can't relate but I remember when I was little all I wanted to do was grow up not realizing my dad grew as well. I'm now 20 and he is 56 with a bad heart. He has to go to a cardiology and take all kind of pills. Now I worry about him everyday.

While the pain may dull over time, nothing will ever fill that void of losing a parent. I lost my dad to a brain tumor in 1991. While we weren't that close then, I still wonder today what might have happened, what experiences we might have shared, had he lived.

    i lost my dad April 29th, 2011.
i have since moved, and went through a lot of things, but i still miss him every day.

i still wake up in the middle of the night and instantly look for him or listen for him.
i still run his old coffee maker just to think he's in the kitchen.

man, i can't tell you how many times i catch myself saying out loud, "dad would like this."

losing dad is what hamstrings my faith at times.
"well, be happy for him. he's in heaven."

ya know, god has billions, trillions of souls to keep him company, i don't and i need my dad more.

ugh. sorry. just know that i feel your pain and i wish someone, anyone could take it away for you.

I don't suppose you ever really stop missing a parent. My mom passed on about two months ago from cancer. I'm certain I'll miss her every single day from now until the day I finally join her.

Sorry about your dad. I bet that was very hard at such a young age.

Time heals but never fixes it. Can only hope he's watching you somehow, and to make him proud.
