Got this email from Chevy. Apparently, we can now own the ROTF BB before the movie even comes out. Not sure if it's even news, but sort of TF related

Wow... that's pretty impressive. I wonder what the Asterisk disclaimer is?

Still... I'm much more impressed with pedal shifters finally being available in the new Ralliart Lancer.

 

I can't find the options for the pop-out gatling guns. Anybody see 'em anywhere?

It's a crime. How do they not have a "Bumblebee" option?

 

I could have swore it was supposed to be a package deal, but I heard or read that long ago when it was originally supposed to come out and got pushed back many times over.

 

Paint would cost 1/3 of the cars price. That stuffs expensive, but soo nice.

 

Just wanted to point out that ROTF BB has some sort of body kit that seems to be unavailable from dealerships at the moment.

 

Spending all this money on two films and not having a "bumblebee" ready to go is idiotic

What do you mean 'old?' The concept is being produced, with minor changes. The current Camaro used in the TF movies is based upon a still in limbo Camaro Z28 package.

 

What does a car like that generally cost new? $40,000? I'm from New York and I don't drive so I don't really know these things.

 

According to my latest issue of Motor Trend, If you buy every package available, a more expensive SS model will bring you to the $33,000 range. If you want the regular flavor without the extra horses, then it should be much cheaper. Mid $20,000.

 

They had a red one at my local dealership about 2 weeks ago.

It was beautiful. It's since been moved to another dealership.

I've only seen two, and both not in dealerships. One black at the Providence Auto Show, and a blue one at Test Track, Epcot.

 

saw a silver one at a local dealership out on the grass.

 

My local dealership had the bumblebee colored camaro in on tuesday. it was yellow with the black stripes on it. it also had a sunroof. I test drove it cause i am buying it as soon as my workers comp case is settled. it is amazing

 

I am waiting for the 550 horsepower Z28 that ROTF Bumblebee is supposed to look like. My old SS is at 700horsepower now, and I am not stepping down to a low power car.
