Went to walmart last night and low and behold they restocked a few things....nothing major like Prime toys or the new Generations toys but just bot shots. I found the newest wave and picke up the jazz and chase clear blue prime and went to check out. Now I knew these were supposed to ring up around the $3 mark but was shocked when they only rang up $1. I went back real quick and picked up the other chase bots they had and the rest of the new wave....best score for me in awhile, now if they would just release the new 3 packs
nice find. though probably just a mis-entered price at your walmart. still, nice pickup and really good deal on those. I would have just bought out their botshot section for a buck each, lol.
$1 Bot Shots? I might have to go grab a few more if they're that cheap. Let's hope my Walmart is doing the same thing/made the same mistake.
Of course, as this happens, Hasbro gets false returns, believing that they only sold two 3 dollar Bot Shots instead of six 1 dollar ones, and stops making them... (yeah, I know that's not how it works.)
Wal-Mart prices are largely dependent from store to store, so the chances of anyone else finding $1 Bot Shots are slim. Either someone in the store messed up or that one store decided to clearance them out and not put up sales tags. It happens... I just got an entire wave of WWE Elite figures, normally priced at $18, for $7 a piece. Not marked, just out as normal, but on clearance. Every other Wal-Mart they are still $18.
I doubt they were on clearance as they have a place for them, it was probably just a screw up on the part of an employee not paying attention. I'm glad I was able to find them and would go back and pick up the rest for other people but they are already gone as I told some other collectors in the area about them and they went to get the rest.
it's all good dude. I just want the new wave. like others have said it's probably just an error at your particular store, not a nationwide epidemic or anything, lol.
My local Wal-mart got in the new wave with Jazz, Powerglide, etc. I checked the price scanner and they were normal price. So far I haven't picked any of these guys up. But had this wave been $1 at my Wal-Mart I would have at least picked up Jazz and Powerglide.
Nice score dude, similar thing happened to me in March, our ASDA (which is the UK equivalent of Wal-Mart) had the Bot Shots for £1.03, what a steal right!
Swear when I saw the title of this thread the first thing that crossed my mind was "and $1.50 mixed-well drinks!"
