I finally got around to taking some pics of my finished 1:25 scale TF Movie style Soundwave. Made from everything but the kitchen sink. I used Bionicle and Exoforce pieces, Games Workshop bits, bits from a Microman Magnaforce figure, hands and head bits from a Marvel Megamorph Wolverine figure, 1:6 scale military weapons bits, Neoshifter bits and weapons, bits from a Big Lots Gundam KO, custom parts made from sheet styrene, green stuff and epoxy sculpt, a G1 Soundwave missle and a 1:25 scale Revell Humvee model kit.

I know it seems like I've been working on this forever. Actually the body was finished ages ago. I recently finally got around to finishing the head and rifle. I had a ton of fun working on this guy. Soundwave is one of my favorites.

I have to thank Dynamo & Mit Gas from dm.net. Much of this custom is based on ideas we bounced off one another as well as my own movie Soundwave design. Please feel free to visit their DA sites and have a look at all their terrific artwork.

Since this figure does not transform, I've included a digibash of the alt mode just to give you an idea what he'd look like..

Thanks a lot for taking a look and for any comments you might like to share.

Geez! I usually puke on movie design toys but this is very nice. Tha fact that he's got hands and a decent face really helps! Aesthetics are also humanoid prefect. Props!
    Hummer mode?

An excellent figure from an excellent design. I really wish that Bay had hired you to design the characters.

Wow, the only thing I can think of that would make him any sweeter was if he transformed into a iPod or something, lol.

Here's a WIP that might give you some idea what I did. If you notice the cutting mat pic, that's a shot of the outer shell of the Humvee model only. It has been carefully cut up into about 50 pieces. The same was done with the underbelly and the interior of the model kit. These pics also show the different lego and other toy parts used in this bash.

Thanks. I had fun working on it.

Now onto my next batch of TFs in this style. I'm working on a movie style G1 Constructicon Bonecrusher (not to be confused with the Buffalo movie Bonecrusher). The 1:24 scale bulldozer model kit I have is very complicated with tons of parts. Should be fun to work out the design and details.

DANG! This is magnificent! The head turned out great! Better than any of the actual movie heads. Great job!

    Thanks very much.

Just in case you're curious, here's a WIP of the head.

I used a modified Bionicle head and neck for the base as well as customized bits from Bionicle, Megaman, Marvel Megamorphs, Neo Shifters, and engine parts from a car model kit, as well as newly fabricated parts from sheet styrene, epoxy putty and green stuff.

    Beatiful work.
Fantastic to see your amazing artwork come to life.
The head is amazing,it has a sinister "insectiod" look to it.
    Look forward to seeing Bonecrusher.
