It's a still from a G1 episode (can't remember which) that I touched up in Photoshop and had printed as a poster. There are lots of shots of the Ark dotted around (and they're not all consistent!) but this one worked best as a backdrop.

Ha ha, thanks! Basically I just tried to imitate the way that Universe SS fitted together; you can probably see the tabs I put on the inside front edge of the doors - these slot into gaps built into the front end of the car (in the extra bodywork that covers the wheels on bot mode's shoulders). The legs still clip together like a seeker and retract, so that takes care of the rear half of the car. The only thing that isn't 100% is the tops of the door windows - I didn't include anything to keep them connected to the roof and they have a tendancy to twist out of alignment along that top edge. But, first reshell etc so learning all the time!

I think you just won the customs forum. That's exceptional work - good thinking, no corners cut, superb execution and finish. Far better than the average Alt/1:24 scale reshell. Great to see this much work put in for such a refined result.

    Hey thank you :)

I'm very happy how this turned out, but I do think there's room for improvement; for example opening doors and some kind of car interior. Would need more engineering skills than I currently have though!

WOW...I don't usually dig the big-scale customs, but this thing is just PERFECT!
