No functions except to be annoying when you're trying to transform it. Glue them on, it's much better.

They come off cause there not glued in. And if you pop them off transforming him it means you didn't do it right.

Mine wouldn't stay on for anything...and yes, I'm transforming it right.

Then I guess yours are loose, and mine aren't. They little thing only come out on mine when they rub against the hips.

This is one of the only downsides to '08 BB.

I know Chaosbringer_00 and I have both lost at least one of '08 BB's shoulder pads.

I'm afraid to glue them on - I'm worried it'll negatively affect his arm movement. I figure the best way to do it would be to remove his arms and glue them on, then re-attach. Any advice that people can offer would be great.

I wouldnt glue them on. They plug into those little holes that supposedly relieve stress when attaching limb X to a balljoint. So by plugging it with glued pad, that hole doesnt do his job as well.

What am I doing wrong? I'm throwing it up against the wall just like instructions say to!

    : P

I glued mine on around the hole...though I don't have any plans to pop the arms off anyway ;)

Glue them on. They don't affect the arm movement, I play with mine pretty much every day and there are no stress marks whatsoever. Gets rid of one of the flaws in this nearly perfect toy
