I went to the Auto show up in Clevelend today with my sister and future brother in-law, and I've decided to show the pictures I took while there. Some of them are a little fuzzy, or even a little dark, but concidering the camera I'm using, they aren't all that bad. Some TF's showed up in vehicle mode. Of note was Movie Bumblebee, Movie Ironhide (basically just a black topkick), and Movie Jazz (convertable version though). I'm not sure if the Camaro was one of the one's used for the movie, but it certainly does have the same paintjob. This is actually the 3rd year I've gone for free, as I've gotten tickes from either Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep in the mail each year (not exactly sure why, but my quess is I fille dout a survey of some sort a while back). My favorite exibit was the Scion one, though it was a bit dark around it, so it was hard to get decent photos. Quick question, is Mr. Optimus Prime a dj? I got this CD from the Scion booth, and it mentions him, and has some of his work on it (actually, his only work on here is the Intro). Thanks for looking.
Thanks . I've always been pretty good with photography, but haven't really worked with any good cameras. I remember taking an extremely good picture of Shamu while on an elementary school feild trip to Sea World, with just a cheap disposable camera. Edit: Forgot to add this little tidbit in my first post. The I-X Center (where the auto show is held up in Clevelend) used to be a tank factory. It also has a big ferris wheel inside of it.
Wow... nice pictures. Thanks for mixing it up to.. nothing worse than looking at just the new cars.... I love the racecars and older models!
All I can remember about it, is that it's a Volkswagen engine, and was one of two they had on display. Considering that I was using a cheap camera, there wasn't much I could do to improve the quality of the pictures I was taking. I might add some commentary, though it'll probably just be the name of the vehicle, and possibly my opinion of it. It also might be a day or two before I add anything, as I've got some hw that I need to get some work done on tonight. I have no idea if we have a car thread or not, and don't really see how that would matter if we did.
Well wouldnt it be better to consolidate all car threads, instead of having several? That was my point, is all.
The GT-R looks so much better than the designs they had on paper 2 years ago. It looks alot more like its Skyline brothers than the design they had that looked like a G35.
That confirms my suspicions, defiantly a diesel. Looks like a common rail too, since it has a pump driven off the cam gear.
What about having a sub-forum for cars, along with technology and gadget separate from video games and anime?
I dunno about having a sub-forum for cars, but for other tech and gadgets, like Tvs, dvds, blu-ray, etc would be kinda cool. But then again, this is a TFs board, not AVS.
Delorean! Awesome. Anyway, I'm really angry I missed the Chicago Auto Show this year. Had the flu the days I could go and it was the 100th anniversary.
