I did some minor work to the new Legends Megatron to better represent Megs at a pivotal point during the unseen period between issues 2 and 3 of Megatron Origins, when he is transitioning from a gladiatorial champion and underworld figure into the leader of a full-on revolution, having started long ago with the best of intentions, and ending up as a megalomaniac.

I added gunmetal paint to various parts, as well as red highlights to mark his gladiatorial status. In robot mode, I colored in more yellow danger striping, since it would make sense for him to attract recruits by referencing his unjust imprisonment as a miner. I dirtied him up quite a bit, since being both a pit fighter and a fugitive would tend to restrict opportunities for a wash-and-wax

Since Megs doesn’t have his energon flail at this point, I slightly modified a Beast Hunters Legion weapon, and gave Megs a mining hammer/pick, something he could get at the Kaon equivalent of Home Depot. His railgun is also meant to be a makeshift weapon, a converted industrial magnetic accelerator that hurls heavy-duty mining spikes.

The hammer unpegs into two pieces, which store underneath the tank mode.

I really didn’t like Chopshop as either a robot or a weapon, so I chopped him up, removing arms, head, part of the torso, and most of his legs. The result is a cowcatcher/ram attachment that fits the tank mode’s profile a little better. In robot mode, this becomes a jetpack; I added thruster vents to the bottom of the pack. The pack also can still attach to his left arm as an ELBOW ROCKET.

All in all, they're minor alterations, with the goal of enhancing an already decent figure. Thanks for looking!

I love this. I have been toying with the thought of getting rid of the beige parts, and kept meaning to open Origin as a reference, but now I'm using this. How did you upgrade his fusion cannon?

"a converted industrial magnetic accelerator that hurls heavy-duty mining spikes. "

That's brilliant. Very clever. You should come up with more TF weapons and how they work.

It looks like you could make a deluxe class one out of that new orion pax toy. Look at the chest similarities...

still love this, wish I could figure out what you upgraded the cannon with though, it's much more "miner tool" looking than the original tank barrel.

An example of a good figure made excellent! Really liking everything you did here, especially the weapons. The rail gun looks either like a modified Kotobukya Unit or Gundam weapon. Hard to tell, but it looks great either way.
