I am relatively new here so forgive me.
It seems silly to close the transformers animated forum.
We can discuss all things transformers animated not just the newly cancelled show. (which I am starting to watch now).
It just seems like closing an entire forum will only plug up other forums.
For those of you that live in California it is like closing the 5 to watch the 101 fill up.
I am not trying to cause problems but if someone can explain it to me then it's all good.
Thanks! |

To have a forum for every single line of TF released just makes it too spread out. Therefore it all goes into TF General Discussion.
In fact, I don't recall us having a forum for Energon, Cybertron, Alternators, etc. Animated was the first to be given its own forum, I believe. |

It just seems like too many threads to be condensed into one forum.
Plus there are those of us who are just discovering transformers on the animated side and want to talk about it but don't want to go through 5,000 threads in general discussion to find it.
That's all I mean.
I appreciate you responding! |

The reason we created the "Transformers Animated" forum was to make it so the Transformers General Discussion forum wasn't over-populated with Animated discussion threads, which had happened before in past Transformers series that didn't have their own forum(s). Animated was a hot topic, for lovers AND haters, and it eventually became a beloved forum for a very beloved continuity.
However, with the end of Transformers Animated and literally nothing new coming out (save the Animated Almanac thingy and POSSIBLY a few more toys) conversation and discussion literally died in the forum. That being said, the forum was closed because it's no longer considered "new" or large enough to have it's own forum, and it can be condensed with the previous Transformers show conversations within Transformers General Discussion.
When the next series starts, we'll probably give it a forum as well.
But as Razerwire stated, we don't like to give people so many options on where to talk about things, because then no one talks. When you have the freedom to do whatever you want, you end up not doing anything. Hence why I suck at Grand Theft Auto 4. Quote: |

thank you for explaining. Being new I didn't know that the discussion had died down.
I have just started watching Transformers Animated (after being a HUGE original Transformer cartoon as a child) and will probably have future discussion/questions.
I just find myself getting frustrated in the crowded movie discussion forum with the new movie have come out. So many people create duplicate threads that I have to go through 16 pages to find all of today's posts. For me it would have been easier to thin things out but if discussions have died down as you said I can completely understand that.
Thanks again for responding! |

Thanks again for responding! | ROTF's release certainly dwarfed Animated instantly which was unfortunately very forseeable since Hasbro planned it that way essentially.
But the Transformers General Discussion forum is normally a very good place to discuss any TF line minus stuff like ROTF which has its own forum.
If you have any questions or thoughts about Animated, I'm sure there will be plenty of interest in TFGD. Just not enough to merit keeping its own forum open. |
