Social Groups Questions and Suggestions

Any recent update on the status of this?

A few suggestions for Social Groups:

- FAQs
Helpful and appreciated since according to Search there are about a half-dozen threads asking the same or similar questions.

- Link under the Community menu tab from the main page.
I wouldn't have even known there was one for the Social Groups under "Boards > Quick Links" if I hadn't done a forum search for "Social Groups".
A link seems more fitting under Community from the main page, but that's just my humble opinion.

- Use BBS code/forum format for Social Groups, so they have almost the same functions and features. Currently, you have to know basic HTML to reply to posts unless you just post and address the member you're replying to as well as having to go through the rigmarole of copy/paste. Having the quote and multiquote buttons for social groups would especially be useful for social groups. Additionally useful would be a like a thread or forum subscription option, so you get an email notice every time a new post goes up.

So how much is "enough"? I'd actually consider becoming a supporter (I spend enough time here--I might as well contribute a little financially) if I knew how much was enough to have the ability to start a social group.

It takes $25 to become a Supporter.

The Social Groups section is kind of like a plug-in. There's only so much customization you can do the formatting. I can say that Tony is still messing with stuff after the migration to the new server. I'd imagine that the revamp of the Resources section is really eating up most of his time right now. But he will see this and can chime in with any status updates.
