Problem viewing images - PHP problem?

hello tech support ^_^

never had an issue with the site before til just a couple days ago... maybe yesterday actually.

whenever i try to click on an image in the news, i get the following error message:

The image "http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attachment.php?do=fullview&attachmentid=7028" cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

i don't have this issue with IE7 only Firefox.

does this sound familiar? :3

Can you post links to the stories that you are having problems with? I've gotten that sometimes, but it generally means the image upload was not completed. Works in some browsers in that case, not in others.

it's really weird... it happens with all the images in the news... and here's the strangest part, i can see the image for a split second if i browse to another tab. allow me to explain.

i access the main site.
click a news article.
news article appears.
i click on an image.
the image opens in another tab within the same firefox window.
the error message appears.
i go back to the original tab that shows the news article.
the tab that houses the image that won't open now displays a tiny icon of the pic.
i click the tab with the image.
i see the image for 1 second.
the image then disappears and the error message appears again.

but at this point, i'm actually gonna reinstall firefox. maybe something got corrupted somehow. i will keep you posted.

i just don't get it, but i don't think it's a problem with the site.

i reinstalled firefox and i'm still getting the problem... but now, it seems to have "spread" in that when i click on an image (like under google images) to have it appear in it's own window, it does the same thing.

ie7 has no probs at all. oh well, thank god i don't have a browser preference, hahaha.

I use firefox as well, and am not having a problem like you say. It may be something with your system settings as well, affecting how FF handles images.

um okay... i fixed it >_>;;;;

i retraced my steps and thought about what i'd done/installed in the days since this started happening and nothing came to mind... while staring at the browser i noticed something...

skype (which i recently installed for my new job) had installed a firefox extension during installation. i removed it and now the pics load fine.

hahahha

what a trip...
