I was noticing people talking about the pricing of Transformers comics on here. I have them all in online format, and could easily post a link for people to download them through my own webserver. Question is, it that legal on here, or just considered as file sharing etc? Can I do that? |

But if they were shared, why would people go out and buy them? If you want them to continue producing the comics, the best thing would be to buy them. CobraIsland.com |

These things are just something at one point in time I may or may not read, but I won't be paying those prices for it. Call me evil or whatever, but, eh, as much of a collector as I might be with all this, I just can't do the comics thing. |

You've made a decision about not doing comics, so don't do them. A lot of the artists and colourists post here, I'm sure they're thrilled that you're stealing their work and willing to share. |

If you do a little research, you'll see that in the say, last 10-15 years, comics have expanded and gone up in price almost 3$ A market that is now swamped with clones and reissues and just little gimmics to get moeny from people. Special editions, variants, different covers, the cross over event etc. They do everythign in their power to make money off the fans. If they decided to perhaps cut down on the extra crap out there, the pricing could go down, people may start buying again, and everyone can be happy. Besides that, the day of paper books, magazine etc, and comics included, is over. Everything is or has moved online. It's time they start doing that sort of service too. Just my opinion though. |

Artists, writers and colourists get paid by the work they do, the less people buying their work the less chance they have to get more. Do you see where I'm heading with this?
As for the industries business model, again, I don't see what it has to do with the whole part about stealing their work. Nobody forces you to buy more than one copy of any given book out there, hell, if you wait for the trades you save significantly on the cover price of the monthly book and usually get a little more for your patience.
Stealing is stealing, your justification for doing so makes absoloutely no difference in the matter. |

I have bought some of the newer stuff, just not the older. So to catch up on the stories, I've got them by other means. |
