I have a notification for 7 unapproved messages that I can't seem to clear/get rid of. The unapproved messages are from the TFW2005 Playstation Group that I have created, and these are messages that I deleted because they were from a discussion about Halo (which is not a game available for the Playstation and therefore didn't belong in the social group). As far as I can tell, I don't remember having it set up that the messages in the TFW2005 Playstation Group are moderated, and when I go to edit the group, the checkbox for "Messages must be approved by the owner" is unchecked. So I don't know why I have this notification and nothing I do in the social group involved doesn't seem to clear the notification. If at all possible, can someone look into this and fix my notifications so that I don't have this unapproved messages notification anymore? Many thanks in advance.
The social groups can be a bit wonky with this stuff, but I just tried something on this end. Try this: Go into the group thread where problem posts are, use the "select all" drop down and mark them all as unapproved. Then do the same, but mark them as "approved". Then, go and select the ones needing to be deleted, and delete them. Give that a shot, and see if that clears it for you.
Had the same issue with another Social Group and happy to report I think this worked!!!! Had 7 notifications popping up for over a year... it's fab to finally see those puppies outta here. Thanks TB.
