I don't see why Bay thinks knight armour is outdated when in realty the Samurai was pretty much Japan's version of knights so by that logic that means samurai armour is just as outdated. I mean yes Samurai armour looks awesome no doubt about it but Knight armour is cool in it's own right too and some can look modern too.

Awkward that he's putting down the look of medieval knights when...

Unless that's his point? Hard to tell with that guy, half the time I think he just says whatever comes into his head first without thinking.

Maybe he was trying to say that the Dinobot's knight like designs are meant to symbolize how old they appear to be and perhaps not a lot of TFs in the modern world have that going on? That's my guess anyway because he didn't really design them.

Awkward interview aside, whoever the photo editor is at Japan Times totally dropped the ball. That photo makes it look like her dress has her really confused. "You wanted me to wear THIS? Whyyyy???" XD

Photographers take zillions of red carpet shots. There HAD to be a better pic of young starlet in a dress with a plunging neckline. At least one of her smiling, anyways

Now back to your regularly scheduled robit talk.

I think it's great that Bay wants something with Cerebral Appeal when his establishing shot of every single human character is having that person act like an idiot.

There can be no plot advancement at all until after the character acts idiotic.

    "Draw an audience of kids?"

How many variations of the F-bomb, the several instances they used B-itch, using God's name in vain over and over, and well over a dozen instances of Sh!t were dropped in the movie? I'm calling shenanigans on that scrap. Not to mention the sexualization of a character that was "underage" where the dad was sensitive to that while the director was shooting the camera right up her rear end.

"An audience of kids???" Good one Bay. Good one. Haha yeah right.

Don't forget the Statutory Rape Card in the wallet.
That was way more important to the advancement of the plot than, say, the origins or even the names of the Dinobots.

"Cerebral Appeal" :lol  That's good one.

His PR people should be the ones writing the comedy for these movies.

That entire scene was mind-boggingly uncomfortable. What the hell would change by making Tessa a year older? Nothing, except of course for getting rid of that ludicrous scene. I mean, was it supposed to be funny that their relationship was so borderline that the character literally carried the law around to prove that it was legal? It was just... Awkward.

I thought he was referring to something other than transformers. . . and then I realized that that statement applies to NOTHING he's worked on.

Funny that he doesn't want to be tied to Transformers when he's insisted that every movie so far had "A Micheal Bay Film" as a sub-subtitle in every trailer and TV spot.

Not hating like some people but I would rather have the statutory scene dropped and the Bee and Hound dancing scene left in lol.

I've done my best to avoid any bashing, but I can't take the schizophrenic nature of this - what can he possibly be talking about when he says 'cerebral appeal'? The writer of the latest movie himself says that logic is thrown out the window - there really isn't any thinking involved. Things just happen, and we just kind of have to accept it. Did Bay think he was directing some other movie?

I've said it before and I'll say it again:
Bay is highly over rated, in my opinion. The best thing he can do for Transformers is move on and let a better director take the reigns. Taking that horrible writer with him.

I've come to the realization that anything involving humans in these movies should be ignored wholesale. I've trained my brain to simply focus on the robot CGI scenes and the pretty special effects, and that's it. This way, my blood pressure thanks me. :D
