Cute products. I like those little big headed Mashems. So, they made Bumblebee themed fists, with an Optimus Prime punching bag. .... Is there some kind of underlying message here? Edit: I found an HQ Pic of the Prime mashems, and I like how they gave Soundwave small "eyes". Maybe their just the symbols that were on his visor, but they look like eyes.
alright, I haven't said anything yet, but do we really need all this merchandise? Splat balls? WTF?!? I guess it doesn't hurt if they're not the ones who are directly producing it and going through another party in order to have the items produced... instead of sacrificing the money and resources that go into producing what we do want.( and don't want) that isn't to say I don't want movie figures, I would just like some proper ones and more of them
The Prime Mash'ems have been out for a while now, at least this Bonus Pack in Prime packaging: Mashems Transformers Trans Formers Prime Series 1 Bonus Pack New | eBay I won it back in December, but it might have been released earlier than that. I do notice that the HQ pic you posted seems to have an additional paint details on the eyes of some that mine do not. For example, Soundwave lacks the painted purple eyes, Bumblebee lacks the pronounced eyebrows and has yellow (not grey feet) Optimus lacks the white highlights on his eyes, etc. I do notice that my Soundwave has some additional molding on his faceplate, Bulkhead has a more pronounced chin, Bumblebee has some ridges on his chin, etc. The ones in the HQ pic do appear to be a lot nicer than the ones I got. I always thought mine looked sorta shoddy for an official product. Maybe this "bonus pack" was part of a test run or something, because (prior to Toy Fair) any information, let alone any other toys, was impossible to find. There are no other items on eBay besides these bonus packs - two sellers have had them at one time or another, but that's been about it. Looking at that HQ pic, though...while it is from the Tech4Kids site, I wonder if those might be prototypes as the ones displayed at Toy Fair look like the ones I bought, lacking the paint details, etc.: http://cdn.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/4/0/5/9/7/_DSC1979_1392674354.jpg MIKE engledogg
I don't get it. Who are these for? Do children actually buy any of this crap? I mean, the fists and the punching bag and the upcoming Bumblebee Blaster..... That's one thing, but the rest is just... crap. Literally. One-touch transformations, simple transformations, even the gimmick toys that don't transform (or the new gimmick toys that DO transform - good idea, I reckon). Those all make sense to some degree. But what child wants a static brick of super-deformed plastic or a Transformers-themed slingshot and splat balls? Doesn't make any sense to me. But I guess if they sell, I can't complain. If not..... I stand by what I said.
