Back at Cybertron, when it is late at night, and very dark, robots tell each other stories of the war. They spin stories about the deeds of Megatron, and though robots don't feel cold, the listeners shiver. The only ones who don't enjoy a scary Megatron story are the old ones, the ones who were there. These old Autobots remember the real Megatron. Many of them bear scars sustained in the heat of his fusion canons, or dents delivered by his powerful swords. To those old robots, Megatron is no monster, he is a warrior so vicious and terrible that monsters pale in comparison.

What's wrong with his gun?

 

It is laying on the shuttle's top, facing backwards as if the shuttle is hauling it like lumber opposed to pointing forward out of the bottom like it is gonna blow shit up.

It being in-package is the first time we have seen the vehicle mode confirmed.

I trust someone in the fandom will figure out how to make it face forward like a death machine and keep the ship asthetic looking correct, or maybe a remold for the japanese market. Maybe they didn't want a UFO with a Death ray in a series for 6 year olds? If it did they probably would have had to Orange-tip it?

Right now the whole line appeals to be but the two cybertronain molds of Prime and Megs.

 

I like it. It will be mine when its released.

 

Even with the screwed up gun he looks amazing.
I just hope that the Two-pack version is as good because I'd rather get two toys for the price of 20$ than 40$ on toys.

 

I am curious to see what the 2-pack will be since the prime in the 2-pack was heavily remolded.

I wonder how they will remold this one if at all?

According to Magazine-dudes his head, hands and cannon look different so yeah, he's probably what Voyager Movie Megs is to Leader Movie Megs.

 

i really wish the boxes were nice and square BUT they are saved by the AWESOME giant cartoon images, they are fun and eye catching, i'll be saving these boxes, thats something i didnt do before i sold my cybertron and movie toys (ie those ones went in the bin, i couldnt stand them). I still would like to see a different colour over the toothpaste box look but for sure these are way more likable than classics/cybertron or movie packaging. I like the simplified graphical layout.

im starting to really dislike the movie toys now, an acceptable evolution of the line but one for the masses. im not a movie hater though, i have the target jazz, my one and only movie toy and he looks great.

 

This is by far the best looking Megs in a long time. I hope that he'll get an Earth Mode eventually. By the way,does anyone have a release date on any of the TF Animated toys yet? I want to be first in line. 

 

They've won me over with the Animated toys. I just wonder what the difference between the different classes will be. I usually only buy one class for each line (or if only one of a figure is released, regardless of class).

Can't wait for them to come out.

 

Why is it a rule that when you post the find of the month, the pics have to be so small or out of focus?

This "gun issue" doesn't bother me at all...the toy looks awesome and I will be getting one or two... 

 

The wait is getting beyond painful, I want these figures now!

 

those complaining about the gun are doing so because its in a different position in the animation (ive not scrutinised the toy images or the animation enough to verify this). Its a major bummer for sure, not matching the animation, so much so that i forgot about all those other less important things in the world.

For some toy/anime inaccuracies note that cybertron primes vehicle 'smokestacks' are stuck to his hips in the toon but in the toy the are on his shoulders (well somewhere up there)!! enought to get tantrums a flaring.

Toy/animation not matching is part of the fun of TF, think of primes vanishing trailer, the very humanoid look of the G1 animation bots, complainers are shifiting the goalposts a lot, lot closer when complaining about silly things like megs gun.

 

The way I see it, this puppy's never going to be in alt mode on my shelf, anyway. Bring him on!

 

I can't even tell what the gun issue is. That looks bad-ass.

 

So what does earth mode Megatron look like? A G1 head set in Professor Sumdac's laboraty?
