For those who are not in the TF club, or if your email filter throws the messages in spam, I got this message from the club:

Don't forget to submit your free 30 word ad for Master Collector by the 16th for February's issue. Also, we should have the forms for BotCon up by the end of the month. Use the ad link when you log into the club or the one on MasterCollector.com Thanks for your support! Brian

So, no solid date, and probably not in the next few days from the wording, but I guess it's time to get serious about checking Botcon.com for updates. Can't wait to fax in my form.

    TCC Email, botcon registration

I Just got an email from the Transformers Collectors Club stating that the Botcon 08 forms should be available by the end of the month. I hope everyone saved up their pennies.

and what that also means is that we'll be finding out what the exclusives are, right?

Not necessarily before. I think the toy names come out with the forms, and images come out periodically afterward to drive up interest.

Looking forward to see what the exclusives will be.

I believe a Classics Optimus repaint is among the current rumours?

I would hope so, soon, because the con is only 3 months away.

Very much so IMO. I just hope that if the boxed set is shown after prereg opens, that it's worth the money.

    No kidding.

I'm committed and all...but I'm hoping dates and locations for '09 start being planned before the '08 convention to avoid this sense of rush next year.

Actually, if you look at the dates for previous years for when forms came out in relation to when the con is, they're not really cutting it any closer than they usually do. Guess it just seems that way since it's so early in the year.

I wish they would show the box set before prereg goes up, but that is asking alot.

It's good to know that the forms will be posted soon. Spending the $300 or so means that the crap-load of fun is coming up fast.

Well, names, anyway. We probably won't know any more about the molds being used than we already do (at least, I'm expecting more than three toys...).

Actually, this is the first time we've ever gotten toy shots (such as they are) before registration.

I know the forms for '06 came out in April or earlier, 'cause I was still overseas--and the convention wasn't 'til late September. That's almost five months.

This time, it'll be less than three months if it's end of January.

I can't recall last year, but it seems like it was longer than that.

Yeah, if feels very rushed for some reason. Last year I basically got drunk one night and decided to go, it was pretty short notice. This year, I've actually been planning it but for some reason it feels like I'm not going to have to time to get the money together and whatever.
