Tried this once... Hit back as I was adding the pictures... Lost everything. If this seems rushed, it is. I spent half an hour on the first one and don't feel like spending another half hour on a review. I'm leaving this out of paragraph format to save me some time and trouble. The grading scale is based on LEGENDS CLASS figures only. Truck Mode- 8/10 -Windows painted dark blue -Guns/fists visible in the truck bed -Front appears too squat due accomodating other things (the arms could have been thicker, that would have cut it down somewhat...) -Guns are in the truck bed, instead of the underside like on the Voyager. -IT HAS LONG STACKS (long is relative) Transformation- 10/10 I got this loose, and there were no instructions. Transformation may or may not be correct, but it looks right to me. -Split legs -Raise top half -Split top half -Bend arms at shoulders -Rotate arms 180 degrees -Raise head -ADDED NOTE: Raise the head as far forward as it will go. It really helps with stability. Robot mode- 8/10 -Guns really stand out -Decent number of paint apps (for the size) -6 points of articulation (good for the size, if I recall) -Looks ready to kick ass -Lacking (noticable): Knees, neck -Other improvements- the arms sit kinda far back. It would have been nicer if the arms could be more forward. -Silver bot symbol bot's right hand side cannon Overall- 8/10 Probably 2nd best Movie Legends figure under Barricade. Probably meets/exceeds 90% of my expectations after seeing the hard copy pics from Botcon. Comparison shots:
Yeah. I'd say the fender flare proportions and "nose" angle are actually closer to the real vehicle on the Legends than the Voyager. Can't wait to find this guy! (Plus, a desert colorscheme Blackout isn't a bad accompanist.) Oh, FYI, SB1, I can't see your first picture under "Comparison shots:".
It's just a really yellowed pic of the 2 trucks together. Here's the link to it... If that doesn't work, I'll have to upload it again.
Just opened him. This guy is pure fun, and fairly poseable in bot mode. Aside from the fists sticking out in trukk mode, I love him! The movie Legends all rock!
Ironhide's my new desk buddy now. Way more fun (and less evil) than Titanium Scourge. And he can hide under the monitor without standing out. Cataclizm... Will you be posting any pics of Blackout (either here or in the Gallery) any time soon?
