At first glance, I thought you were referring to the IMAX release. I'm impressed that after three months the movie is still bringing in the crowds.

One thing's for sure: The Transformers franchise is alive and well.

It's stated that both Brian Goldner and Michael Bay were impressed with Kruger's knowledge of the Transformers mythology.

I thought it was pretty well understood that Michael Bay knows nothing about Transformers, so anybody could impress him with their knowledge. I didn't see either of the Ring movies, but the brothers grimm sucked something fierce, so there's my 2 cents worth.

Hmm. Some of the movies in Ehren Kruger's name aren't very good.

Cue the homers to dress up this turd and call Kruger the next coming of Shakespeare.

Hopefully this guy doesn't have the storytelling abilities of a 2 year old like the other 2 before him.

I know I will be excited to no end to see TF2, and I really enjoyed the first. However, any problem I had with the movie stems from the writers, and I did kinda hope we would get to see another writers take, but oh well- there is too much money involved now for anyone who was involved not be recognized by the powers that be so they will try to stick with what made the green.

This is news that'll surely excite those, like myself, who loved the first movie, while causing a groan for those who did not.

Pretty much the same thing as the last two years, eh? :)

Still, seems good to me. I'll be in the theater opening day.

Well I hope with a bigger budget and all they'll be able to make the story much more robot based next time. I hate to be on the "too much human shit" bandwagon in regards to the first....but hey, that is kind of how I feel. It didn't matter toooooo much on the first viewing, but after repeated viewings, some of it got harder and harder to sit through.

For my money, the only one of the listed films for Kruger that had a good script was The Ring. Funnily enough, the only one that was basically a direct remake.

The transformers cartoon was about the robots: the film was about the humans. Seems the people making these movies aren't really embracing the source, which is a real shame. Reducing the dynamic between Starscream and Megs to one line of dialogue was really frustrating.

Hopefully they'll do a more balanced job next time.

I was hoping for new writers and director not that they did a horrible thing...I just want to see how others would have approached it.

Well I guess it'll be good to have a new writer on board. Shame he was responsible for bringing the horrible Brothers Grimm into the world.

Hope the movie would be just as good - only with the robots taking center stage!

Geh -_-; It was the writers who I was kinda hoping for a replacement >o>;;; As long as they listen to 98% of the reviews stating that there needs to be more TF development rather then human then I'm coo' with that...and they write less toilet humour...

...Crap. I really hope they make a better script for the sequel, then.

This is good news. The whole team's back. Kruger has done some good work and some bad. If he really knows a lot about TF mythology, then his addition can only be a positive thing.

Kurtzman and Orci really listened to us a lot at Botcon, I'm sure they have a million new and better ideas for where to go with this. I'm very hopeful it will be a good thing.

We already heard their Dinobot pitch, so it sounds like we're going in the right direction. Orci and Kurtzman came up with a lot of brave ideas which worked, such as a mute Bumblebee, a frozen and missing Megatron, a Decepticon police car and so on. I'm glad they're back to continue their vision of the Transformers.
