He'll get off because he's a famous black man. I don't claim to know whether he is guilty or not, but famous black men get acquitted (regardless of the facts) because white people are so worried about being labeled as racist. He'll walk away free and clear.

Umm...and why is Joey Harrington happy? Is he the back up QB? Last I heard, he was playing with the Lions.

The Falcons signed him as a backup this off season.

Fuck beans. And I've got tickets to the Falcons/Colts game on Thanksgiving. Wanted to see Vick v. Manning.

I'm a Carolina Panthers fan, so I hated that overrated piece of shit anyway. Now I think he's lower than shit. I agree with Moonstreaker though. I think he'll get out of it. It's a shame too.

Whereas I thought he was still with the Dolphins after leaving the Lions. I can't keep track of this crap. In any case, good for Joey and good ON Vick.

Some of my friends are pretty big Falcon's fans, and when I called one of them to talk about this, he actually said, "Yeah, it really sucks. We're gonna play for shit this year." And he told me that another mutual friend actually asked his wife to crash at her sister's place so that he could 'be alone to be pissed.' I don't understand why someone could actually value the performance of a sports team over a dog's life. It's just bizarre to me.

Anyways, I hope his ass is convicted and the Falcon's have to pay the price far as their salary cap penalty. Serves 'em right for supporting such a piece of shit for so long.

That home in question is only a few miles distance from where I am and Vick has been closely followed by southern Virginians since his high school playing days.

Needless to say, this story is big around here. It's amazing to see his support just absolutely vanish so quickly since this news broke several months ago, as well it should.

If I recall correctly, either Vick or his relative or friends stated that dog fighting was a "cultural" thing. I'm still trying to figure that one out.

I think that was another pro athlete who was defending Vick. Can't recall who it was though. Either that or it was his ******ed cousin who lived in the house.

That would be Clinton Portis from the Redskins. He basically said that it was Vicks business and everybody should leave him alone. He also said dog fighting was no big deal. Obviously he apologized later and said he didn't mean it. :rolleyes2

Later = after the Redskins management and lawyers heard the interview and got to him.

Exactly! I guarantee the public relations department had his ass on the phone within minutes! I think they might end up blowing the top off of a huge dog fighting ring within the NFL. I'm willing to bet a LOT of players do this. Clinton Portis was basically laughing it off saying it was no big deal to walk down the street and watch dog fighting when he was a kid.
