Besides being a long time member here, I also work with for the circulation dept of Rides magazine (along with a bunch of other publications). Luckily one of the editors strolling past my cube noticed my TF posters on the wall and asked what I knew of Transformers, and if I wouldnt mind helping out with a feature for the magazine.

Rides magazine is a publication focused on cars and was doing a story on the cars of the TF movie, specifically BB and Barricade. Also featured is an interview with TF Movie cast member Tyrese. They wanted to sprinkle in some of the toys aspect which is where my collection came in. They have a couple little sidebars about Alts, and Primes, with photos of toys from my collection.

Fast forward a month and the July/August 2007 issue of Rides Magazine is officially on sale 6/19/07 (although most places will start putting them out anyday now). There are 2 collectible covers. (check the pics!)

 

And the hype wheel keeps turning.
 

 

Hahaha. Nice pictures dude. And your editor must be a nice dude, if he asked you what you knew about TF's.

Ah Damn! I was going to post this yesterday but didn't have time! I got the Bumblebee issue.

 

I just noticed in the Barricade picture that the shirt he was wearing says US Army on it but it has Air Force rank on it. Silly clothing maker.

 

Very cool that you had a behind the scenes insight into this and were actually able to contribute to the issue. I will have to be on the lookout for this now.

You should be able to find these at most newstands, and major bookstores. You might find them at Virgin, not sure what their magazine section looks like.

Those covers rock. I'm a car guy, so I love them even more so. The Barricade cover is just sick. I love the purple highlights on the cover to compliment the black and white car. Very nice.

Hey what TRUCK MAG had an article on IRONHIDE? I have the HOTROD mag with Bumblebee(camaro). Now i just have to grabb one of these MAGS! THANKS! GREAT STUFF!

Will be getting both covers.

I got mine at a Circle K but like he said I'm sure you could get it at any big book store as well.

Congratulations on getting to work on the feature story and having your collection featured, that's awesome!! I am so jealous!!! You should see if you can snag any of the cover mock ups and stuff like that [provided they made hard copies, some mags do everything digitally though]. They'd look great framed in your home!

Great work on these! Now try to get TF's into some more mags, man! Promote, promote, promote!!! I want sequels!!!
