Today we have found new listings in Hasbro's online product catalog for Transformers Movie merchandise. This time we have a bounty of Transformers puzzles! There is a 3d puzzle, 4 different 100 piece puzzles, a Quizzle Jr puzzel, and 3 different 70 piece sticker puzzles. To see all of these items at the Hasbro site click here.

These have been out there ever since the big website change a week or two ago. I updated the merchandise thread with them then.

PLEASE NOTE: The pic that is supposed to show FOUR 100-piece puzzles actually has ONE 100-piece puzzle and the three 70-piece puzzles shown in the other pic. So we've really only seen one 100-piece puzzle at this point.

I don't get the 'meh', though. These types of products certainly aren't targeted at us, but there is a very tangible, positive repercussion/ripple effect for the adult fan.

Products like this DO mean that the TF franchise is getting a shot in the arm unlike anything it has had since the early eighties. This means more kids (and importantly, more moms and dads) are getting heavy TF exposure, increasing their awareness of the products--which likely will manifest additional purchases, resulting in a strengthening of the franchise.

And that is, without question, something we all want to see.

Why can't they make figural 3d-puzzles of the Transformers?

Build them in their alt modes, take them apart and rebuild them as robots?

People are meh-ing at awesome toys oftentimes, so I think meh-ing has to be expected with puzzles.

I knew they are going to do this to Transformers when I saw the Spiderman 3-D puzzles at TRU. $15.99 is kinda steep, get Optimash Prime instead :p
