Besides the trade coming out this month, come July, the shelves will have Civil War once again in a new monthly 12 issue (at least) series called Civil War Chronicles.

i jsut read that too...came here to post it, but you've beaten me to it....i dont know how i feel about this...i guess its good to bring people back into the stores, but its annoying as sin to have it played out again....and i was one of the people constantly bitching about when things took place, so i may very well be buying these to read the whole thing in order.....gah....good thing i dont actually pay for comics anymore....

I was so into the concept of Civil War. So much potential. So much that could have been done.

Then I was so let down.

No way will I even touch these.

Same here Drippy. The only good thing that seems to have come out of Civil War is a very definite sense of dread and impending doom throughout a fair few titles (especially having just read Fallen Son #1 and Avengers: Initiative #1).

Nobody's trying to sell it to YOU. They're meant for people like me who didn't feel like buying every (any) of the issues and want to know what the hell their nerdier friends are talking about.

    Buy the trade.

This is Marvel releasing a movie in theaters.
    Releasing the bare bones DVD.
Then selling it again with the commentary.

I can agree with you that it helps explain things to people new to comics, but was it really that complicated.

I only bought Front Line and Civil War, nothing else. Seems like it's aimed directly at me.

actually, the biggest group they want to hit is people who didnt read it at all, but want to now...its a way to get people hyped about comics again....and get people who havent been in stores in years to start buying monthly again....and thats cool....and also, yeah, with 100+ tie ins, lateness and all the other crap outta order, itd be nice to have it in order....i may sell of my actual issues in order to have this pile of books instead....

Wait, let me get this right.

They are making a 12 issue monthly series recapping the 7 issue main series and bazillion crossovers and one shots which will start in July, which is 6 months after the series ended.

Seriously, by next July, who is going to care about Civil War anymore?

Good job Joey Q. This'll be a series that can easily be purchaced in 50 cent bins around the country and at comic con starting August 2008

Now that Civil War is over, what is happening to the X-Men? Did they all register? Are they all fugitives? Thanks!

I understand that the X-Men have their own problems and don't often cross paths with much of the Marvel Universe, but I'd like to know if they've all registered. It is BS and a horrible plot hole if the X books are just ignoring Civil War and the registration act. I'm not saying they should take a year out of every book to discuss it, but it should at least be mentioned.

Are the telepaths making shield leave them alone? Did everyone register, but Tony is letting them carry on with their lives and in their school as usual? What's going on?

    Thanks.

I'll just wait for the novel.

I actually read the novel of Kingdom Come before I read the trade. Now that really goes in depth.

I actually tried to read kingdom come novel, too bad I was in finals and had to give it back in order to borrow more c books from the library.

In other news this would be interesting for me....as I did not buy anything civil war related.

but this probably will set a crappy trend I can see it now

    "World war hulk Chronicles"

yep they are gonna milk their events for all thats worth now.
