So I just picked up 6" titanium Soundwave yesterday, and I must say DARN the quality control on this guy is HORRIBLE!!! Either that or the mold just sucks and doesn't work physics-wise.

He can't stand. His legs collapse in and he thus collapses on himself. And his legs rip out every time I try to transform him.
I was also struck by just how small he is in alt mode. TINY.

This picture series is meant to demonstrate what I'm talking about, and I think all prospective buyers should be warned just how sloppy this figure is. I actually quite like his looks (diaper and small head aside), so it made me even madder that as a figure he sucks so bad.
    Pictures:
1: Size comparison to tit Jetfire and reissue Soundwave
    2: Size comp to Soundwave
3: HE CAN'T STAND: see how one of the upper leg/knee blocks has slid back down into the leg and the other hasn't, and one/both knees do this just by trying to lightly place him in standing position
4: Demonstrating how his legs come off, left leg came out the first time I touched it
5: I have to bend his legs so he's squatting like this to even get him to stand at all, and the knees still tend to collapse...

    Ouch.

Maybe the Soundblaster version will be improved (not holding my breath though).

Did you say you think his head is too tiny?? Any larger than that, and he's start looking like an Action Master!

But then, I never liked the fat-head TF look. Tiny heads rule in my book. :)

This gets my nomination for "Piece of Shitformer of the Year."

It's embarassing how bad it is compared to the original version. Whoever designed it should be fired immediately.

I just think it's hilarious that the original Microman toy is way better than something put out in 2007. That just shouldn't be! I wish they'd used some of the G1 designs from Titanium like Rodimus, Wave, and Magnus to the Classics line so we could've gotten, potentially, better versions of them. I'm sure if they'd been treated by the "main line" guys they'd have been engineered better and such.

lol, I don't think he's worse than that, if he didn't suck for the practical reasons I listed here, he wouldn't be THAT bad. Without these problems, if he was maybe $9.99 he'd still be ok, the diaper being my only main beef visually.

Well technically Megs was released in 06 so......

But I agree this toy looks absolutely horrific. Another reason why I stay clear of Titaniums.

Thanks for those pics...I've thought it looksed like ass from the first pics, and your in-depth pics helped to clarify my thoughts even better. An easy easy easy pass. Now if I can only find Rodimus:(

I ordered one because I really like the sculpting of his player form, and I wanted the cassette. But yeah, it's clearly a poorly designed robot. Maybe even worse than Megatron since Megatron at least looks proper(even if boring).

Personally I think he's just trying to be shitty as way to suck up to his Boss 6" Titanium megatron. Sadly Soundwave doesn't suck quite as bad a Titanium Megatron.....

I passed on Ti Soundwave. He didn't appeal to me at all with that design. His line buddy, Rodimus, on the other hand is pure love. One of my favourite TFs already, he'd be on my "desert island" list.

I was going to pass on this Soundwave anyway. I don’t like the long crotch.

I guess I'm lucky with Titanium Soundwave. He has no trouble standing at all. I wish I could say the same for Titanium G.I.Joe Megs.

I'd spend a little more and get the Classics Soundwave instead.

I still plan to get one, since we're not getting a Classics Soundwave. At least this mold is meant to be Soundwave, and not some recolored Soundblaster trying to pass itself off as Soundwave. Joints can always be tightened.
