    TRUCK MODE

Really cool design for the price. If it wasn't for the plain gray plastic bits here and there, it would have been even better. The blue flames look really good on the red. Middle of the truck reveals a bit of the robot, but it's nothing too major. Tip of the hook/missile is visible at the rear.

    TRANSFORMATION

Not a whole lot to do, but a lot of stuff going on. You start by lifting the top portion of the cab : feet (grill) automatically extend. Pull on the front portion (hood) to extend what will become the arms. Split that front portion in two to separate the arms. Now fold back that entire top section. As you push against the rear, the rear of the truck starts to move down (it's spring-loaded) to become the backpack. As you push further, the grey tab (visible in truck mode) starts pushing against the waist, making the arms fold down on each side through a gear system. Snap the backpack onto Prime's back, insert the missile in the launcher located on the left arm and you're ready for action!

    ROBOT MODE

By far the best Fast Action Battler figure so far. Excellent poseability (knees, hips, waist, elbows, shoulders, head), very nice detailing on the head and the chest. You won't be disapointed with that one.

Looks like he's a deluxe figure. Any good full frontal shots, or maybe some shots of the back to show any kibble?

This one doesn't look too bad, but unfortunately he's merely the latest in a long line of deluxe-sized Primes with good articulation and a Playskoolish alt-mode. Passing on this one with no problem.

got him today from woolworths (uk store). truck mode is good, and the automorph is great, in all 3 places. it is a little hard to get everything lined up right, and you need to remenber to pop the shoulder pads apart slightly before the chest automorphs, but the bou mode is so much fun. ok for the uk price, but if you are in the us and get things for half the uk price, buy it now. you will not regret it!

Just to add: I painted the front grill and bumper, smokestacks and fuel tanks of mine silver, and trust me, it makes this guy ten times more worth it.

Not bad at all, but with two other great (and bigger!) PRIME's available I don't think I'll bother.
If, after I've bought everything else, I find myself (miraculously) with some money left I may be tempted!

I forgot to metion I added some red to the window border.

I'm going to paint the windows light blue too, I may add some flames but I'm not that good.

Sorry for the pic. Somebody's been monkeyin' around with the focus.

I have a phobia about painting anything silver. I can never get the blasted stuff to stay on no matter how much drying time I give it.

This Acrylic stuff is awesome. It dries quick, and, if you change your mind, you can just pull it off! It's like rubber!

He looks like "meh" to me. He reminds me of the Playskool Go-Bots. I have FAB Brawl and I think, based on the pictures of Prime, that Brawl is a better picture.

    FAB Prime and Keychain Prime

Ok, so I don't see a review at all for the keychain Prime I got at Target, or just for FAB Prime, so I thought I would do a quick review on them.

First, I want to say that I have opened 2 FABs at this point, Ironhide and Prime. I opened Ironhide first and was pretty dissapointed by the lack of articulation and the fragile feel of his plastic. Prime was the opposite.

    FAB Optimus Prime

    Good:

    Good detail
Decent articulation, esepcially when compared to Ironhide FAB
    Plastic felt good and sturdy
    Alt mode is pretty good

    Bad:

Arms can't bend back further then straight down
Large backpack of kibble, but that didn't bother me too much
Upper body peg is hard to disslodge for transformation
    Missile/hook gimmick kinda worthless

    Overall:

I was surprised by his quality when compared to Ironhide FAB, and looks pretty good for a FAB or a normal Deluxe, though his transformation is much simpler then a normal deluxes. For his size and price, 8/10

    With FAB Ironhide

There's already a thread for FAB Prime here.

I remember reading your review earlier back, so sorry for treading on your turf there, but I didn't see it in a quick search so I just included it with the keychain Prime review. I thought both these little Primes were pretty good for their size/prices and may just be getting overlooked.

I picked him up this past weekend. He got a meh from me. Not my cup of tea. He actually seems less fun than Fatimus, who at least looks ridiculous.

A fine toy for what he is, but not my bag. Seems pretty gobotish. No problems with the figure other than the fact that I don't like it. =( Sorry. Wish I had some concrete feedback like "I like this part" and "I don't like this part" but I didn't play with him long enough to give that amount of detail.

My thread also had keychain Prime so I'm not sure if it will be merged, but here is what I said about FAB Prime:
