Asked after staff of other TF sites doing advance reviews of stuff... the person to talk to is Dan Taylor. I've only seen them at Fractal Matter, so it'd be nice to get other TF places involved.

Anyway... enjoy, feel free to point out stupid mistakes on my part, etc.

what's he talking about?? i take it he means that soundwave is in it, but what;s the fanboy thing on the second cover?

all i can recognise on the second cover is bumblebee. as for te other autobots, who knows... looks like maybe jazz on the right and.. arcee on the left? maybe even hotrod?

i assume that is a bunch of seekers attacking them

 

Arcee was in early drafts of the script.

 

really? i'm glad she was cut out, arcee is a terrible idea... political correctness shouldn't be the basis for a character! she's almost as annoying as the typical 'make sure you have an example of every ethnic group possible' photos you see everywhere...

Thanks for the thorough review, Denyer. I'm looking forward to this, it sounds like an excellent compliment to the Movie.

 

Looks nice and sounds interesting - I hope, despite the events it depicts, it isn't too dark (physically). I do like a bit of colour....

Maybe one of the members of the decepticon horde on the second cover is shozkwave. They all have the one-eye thing going, not to mention that one or two even have fins on the side of heads like shocky. Shockwave drones perhaps

 

I disagree, Arcee would have been a very interesting character to see on screen. If there hadn't been so much incesent whinniny on the part of the "boys only robot" fans maybe the movie could have had at least one interesting character.

 

Would have loved to see a movie version of Arcee.

 

Its better to leave it for another movie to work out the details.




Unless you want the movie to explain in the first movie why robots have genders.

 

It took a few years before they brought her into the G1 universe. As this movie is aiming to interest "TF newbies", the concept of Transformers having two sexes may be a little much right off the bat (that pesky "realism" argument rearing again!)

 

You don't consider OPTIMUS PRIME, MEGATRON or STARSCREAM interesting?
