I could not find a topic about this, but I found a Classics Grimlock today with an error,I looked at the card backing with the other Classic deluxes,Mirage,Starscream, and Astrotrain, but instead of having a pic of AT,they had Voyager Jetfire above astrotrains name.Has anyone else seen this, and how rare are they?,Also if you have this I advise you to keep it.Chances are in a year or two this figure will be really hard to find.Oh and sorry if this has been posted already. If so close this thread.Thanks.
Mine has the same error. Even if it is a rare print error, I doubt it will increase the value of the figure. The Transformers community doesn't seem to care about stuff like that. Most collectors are just going to rip open the package anyway to transform him.
Agreed. In other fan communities things like this draw more attention to the error... the TF fan community doesn't seem to care and personally I'd say that's a good thing. Worrying about the pictures on the front or the back of a package is a bit much IMO.
ZOMG! I NEED this error. How rare do you think this error will be? Do you think they'll fix it so I can get both an error and corrected version?!?! Does Hasbro make protective case for classics cards?
Thanks Laser & raltherr. I just wanted to know,as whether to open it or not.Now I've decided I will.Later guys.
Yeah, toy collectors as a whole (meaning collectors of other lines such as Star Wars etc), do not care about card errors. Of course, one can never predict the future!LOL!
I guess if it's an error on all the packages it wouldn't be such a big deal. But if it was a running change like on some of the Cybertron Defense packaging some collectors would be more interested.
Clearly you have not checked out a starwars message board when an error is found and everyone says they need to find an error card for their collection before it gets corrected.
I just bought the BW Anniversary Megatron and on the back of the box there's a sticker that says "Predacon Ship Included." I dont know if this is covering up an error or if they're all like this.
Actually, if it was first pointed out in the pics from an international fan, so I have a feeling it's wide-spread. As for worth? Who cares?!!?! It's on a damn box. Open it, throw it away, don't look back!
"Predacon" was misspelled on that portion, I believe as "Preadcon" or something. Hasbro puts stickers on some of the error boxes, then fixed it in later production runs. Pretty much the same way the Cybertron Defense Red Alert error got fixed. Grimlock's box isn't the only one to screw up like this, I think, but I don't remember what the other Classics toy was that made this mistake. The Optimus Prime vs. Megatron set?
