Hmm, so it seems like these sets are going to be very rare then, as I believe this time around many primus package buyers will want to keep this set. That is unless ebay convinces them otherwise.

I do like the lengths that MC is going to, to ensure that as many people as possible get a shot at the "unannounced" exclusives.

That's reassuring to hear Pete, considering I won't get to the hotel till close to 10pm. So if I don't arrive on time to pick up my stuff on Thursday I'm hoping there's stuff left on Friday

It makes sense, logically. You purchased two attendee packages and two people are attending. But then again, I have no affiliation with Botcon and logic doesn't always prevail.

 

I really don't approve of "spare" sets being offered to dealers before Protoform package attendees. I dread to think what prices they'll be going for on Saturday, even in the dealer room. Even if protoform packages don't cost as much, the people who have them are STILL attendees, and I don't think it's at all fair that they should miss out like this.

 

Hmm. I don't like this part. I don't think dealers should get the opportunity before paid attendees -- preregistered or otherwise.

First let me say I totaly agree with you. However, its fairly common practice at other conventions I have attended. At Celebration III for Star Wars, pretty much only those with dealer tables were able to get certain limited exclusives (such as the gentle giant busts) which were alotted in small quantities each day.

 

Right, but either the Tigatron or the Waspinator is likely to be the attendee-only box set freebie.

 

The difference there, though, was that the convention organizer and exclusive producer were not the same entity.

 

I mentioned this in another thread, but I'd guess if they're going with two packs (though it just says sets not two packs?) it'll be Waspinator/Megatron and Tigatron/Airrazor as the other. The other Divebomb will likely be the sixth figure Terrorsaur. Though it could be the Divebombs together, since terrorsaur doesn't fit with the set, but that really doesn't matter since he's the freebie.
