Now that the CybCon Kranix (and the convention itself) is a part of Transformers history, I'd say it's safe to share my contribution to CybCon: the character art for CybCon Kranix package. This is similar to what the prints of my artwork that were made should look like: I hope all who went to CybCon had fun and that the CybCon Kranix exclusive was enjoyed by those who were able to get one! Thanks to Greg Gaub and Richard Mistron (ViceGripX here) for all of their hard work on the con and props to Crazy Steve for another cool custom this year! Hope you guys enjoy my work!
another great peice man i like the damaged look you've given him and his background is really kool too man
Thanks for the positive feedback guys! I've gotten some feedback also from the attendees of CybCon and it seems that my work was well receieved there as well, as my Kranix piece was used for several different purposes. Richard Mistron (ViceGripX here on the board) displayed his MASSIVE Jazz collection. You'll notice a breakdancing Jazz in the background that I drew for him a couple of years ago: Also, I drew the package artwork for one of last year's CybCon exclusives, the Cybertronian version of Jazz. I signed and sent the original piece to Richard (and you'll also note the Kranix print on display as well. Greg G made some prints of my work as well): The Kranix piece was also used on the label of the convention DVD: . . . as well as the primary purpose, Kranix's tech spec: (original source for images: Bendimus Prime's Cybcon Thread here. Bendimus, it looks like you had a great time! Wished I could have been there too!) Also on display were Hal Z's CyberFembots, of which I designed one of the 3 faction symbols for, also on display: [Can't wait to get my A.R.C., Hal! ) I just think it's cool that I had quite a bit of art on display at a con on the other side of the nation and that many people got to enjoy my work while having a good time hanging out enjoying TFs.
Hehe, we'll I was just absolutely THRILLED to have my work on display there and to be a part of the con (without being there in person). I'm just glad to see people enjoying my work and just having fun.
so you've done all this art for cons and havent been to one?? Hope you get you get to go to one at some point........thought ive never been to one
I am a firm beliver that the Dancing Citroen IS Jazz,,,, I mean, who else cold make Travolta's moves from the 70's look so sweet?
No, I have never been to CybCon, but I'd love to go someday because it looks fun and I'd get to meet two of my good friends, Greg Gaub and Richard Mistron (ViceGripX on here). They were two of the first friends I made once I joined the on-line TFan community. Greg was kind enough to host some of my eariler work at his TF fant art page. Last year, Greg asked me to illustrate the CybCon Jazz artwork (of which you can see the original that Richard has on display with his Jazz collection along with the Jazz I illustrated for him as a gift). This year he asked me to illustrate the Kranix. I'm just honored they asked me to contribute and glad that people seem to enjoy my work. The faction symbol illustration I created for Hal Z from Rabid Squirrel was for a contest he held for the CyberFemBot faction symbol contest. My design was one of a 3-way tie for the winner of the contest. I found another photo of a piece of artwork I've done that was on display at CybCon (my CyberFemBot faction symbol design for Hal): Enjoy!
those are really good faction symbols for the fembots man, it definalty looks like and female autobot symbol and would look great one acree. But is it meant for all fembots or have you done a decepticon style one as well? (or is that the one to the left)
