Tformers.com has images up of Universe Wave 2. The wave consists of Terradive, Wideload, Signal Flare, and the Energon Saber team all repackaged from the Energon line. The images were provided by FC Toys.

No word on the release date for these, but if you missed any of the Energon combiner limbs or want some figures for customs, time to start checking Big Lots and similar stores for these guys.

The last ones had a pretty good price, if I recall. I have them already, so I'll be passing.

Neat, I guess. It'd be cool to get another chance at all the Energon combiners again.

Especially those of us that were completely hosed by distribution back in 2004.

Never did see either of the helicopters, Blight, or the repaint constructicons.

I'm VERY happy to getting this chance at Terradive to complete my Superion Maximus

Wow! Signal flare was so hard to get the first time. I think he's still on a couple shelves around here. Why not Blackout and blight, which got the shortest distribution of all the limbs?

SWEET! Terradive! Too bad I never have any luck at those places that are supposed to carry these, or the GI Joe single-packs. I still need Windrazor, anyway...

I'm assuming these will be dollar store fodder, much like the earlier repackaged basics were.

Signal Flare? Man, I can still buy Signal Flare (and Offshoot, for that matter) at TRU.

As much as I want to believe that Universe is a continuing line, I'm inclined to agree with you.

This is cool. I was hoing this line would start up again. I think that he was saying that you could still go to places like Big Lots and still get these figures from when the origionaly came out, not that those places would be the only stores where you can buy them. I personally can't wait for the Energon Sword, i didn't get it the first time, and i don't plan of trying to find all of the two packs of it from the Cybertron line. I hope that they do a Univers Unicron, because the story to the line is centered around Unicron himself.

They've already repackaged single figures once in these shorter 'Universe' style packaging specifically for Dollar General and the like. Basing it on these pictures, Universe is not returning as a full scale line.

I didn't know that. I do hope that this line comes back though. I think that they should bring it back, and have a Universe version of Unicron, because, like i said before, the whole storyline revolves around him. It would also be awesome to see yet another repaint of Unicron. Mainly because i didn't get the Armada one, or the Energon repaint, and i'm not holding my breath for what Toywiz has on their website to be true.

Considering they have the same assortment number, I'd say that's a big "MOST PROBABLY".

You misspelled "unexpected treasure". That's right. I still haven't got Wideload and Terradive, and cheap kitbash fodder is *always* welcome. Bring 'em on, says me.

Smegs asked me to post this:

Universe Basic Assortment wave 1 was released in August 2005, exclusive to Family Dollar and Ocean State Job Lot (possibly also Dollar General).
The wave consisted of: Energon Perceptor (Mini-Con Team), Arcee, Windrazor, Insecticon, Strong Arm (actually the colors of the "Energon Strongarm" repaint, but called simply "Strong Arm" in two words) and Doom-Lock.

Assortment number was 81132, which is the same as on those two toys. Which makes it more than likely that these dudes will be available from the same stores again.

There was also a Universe Deluxe assortment featuring Energon Sharkticon, Storm Jet, Barricade and Steamhammer. Those were available from Big Lots and Tuesday Morning stores.

It's widely assumed that these toys are factory overstock from the Energon line that have never been packaged and are now simply released on "Universe" cards. So rather than complaining about the lack of repaints, people should be happy that they get another chance at buying these toys - for a cheap price, too, since the first wave of the Basic repackages sold fore merely $5.00 per toy.
