I know what happened to the Green with gold buck teeth? But really these guys have really grown on me the last few weeks. I've ordered 5 from RK that are in the mail and if they look as fun in person I can see myself getting more. I think their only mistake is putting the G1 name on the non-movie figures. They are (mostly) modernized so apart from keeping them in 2 groups (movie and non-movie) the G1 part could be dropped. honestly I like the choices so far. That Suzuki is perfect for G1 skids and the 2014 daihatsu copen is a great choice for BB. One thing I am enjoying is that they seem to be just as focused on car lovers as well as TF guys so we are seeing some great cars finally get some TF love. I know I'll be getting one of the RX7 guys. I know some would like some more US cars but its a Japanese toy line, paying homage to another toy line (chono Q) thats known for having a huge range of JDM cars and to top it off these are primarily for the Japanese market so I can forgive them for using cars more recognizable in that market.... Saying that more cars like Megatron (veneno) would be awesome.
sorry if that sounded a bit cheeky but any reason to take a swipe at ROTF I'll take. But really movie colours on this guy would actually work. they both have that big gut in common.
I've been enjoying these far more than I thought I would. I picked up a couple from Japan when I was there in March, and since getting back I've ordered more. They're just great little figures to fiddle with. I wish they'd release them in the West. Of those featured above, only Skids piques my interest.
Interesting that tracks is the movie toy with the G1 head. I wish they chopped the wing off but its still nice. Gives me hope they will do the same for the Lambo and Camero. I like the car modes but the faces....
