Unsurprisingly, not long after these figures were sighted at UK retail, they're also popping up here in Germany.

Found these today at the Toys"R"Us stores in the cities of Essen and Duisburg:

UPDATE: Also found at the TRU store in Krefeld two days later.

Unfortunately, still no sign of wave 2 Legends, Deluxes or Voyagers. Everything is still wave 1.

That's still better than Slovakia or Hungary. Some RID stuff and CW voyagers+legends on the shelf on Febraury 1st. Nothing else since then. Because we need no combiner limbs here, why would we.

Funny thing, although I see the RID deluxe Strongarm, Grimlock and Steeljaw from time to time, I have not found a single Bumblebee. Because BB's don't shelfwarm here, they are snatched by scalpers before they even hit our stores :)

Well, this is Europe, so we'll probably be stuck with wave 1 only stuff until the next Transformers iteration, which is basically how it's been going since DOTM. :lol

unfortunatemly you are probably right, but i was hoping to at least still get wave 2 here. After that it normally ends here.

Rediculous target prices is what usually kills TF sales over here.

Meanwhile, Hasbro Germany apparently confirmed one way or another that Combiner Wars wave 2 will be skipped in Germany, and the next wave to be released at domestic retail will be wave 3 in July.

Seriously, Hasbro. What the hell. First solid cases of RID Warrior Drift, now this. Don't you want to sell your products or what?

Yep, but there are even worse town/village names translated: Fucking, Drugs, Idiottown, Chickenland, Dogair, Hungry Wolf, Killer, Sugarfabric...

EDIT: The alleged sighting of wave 2 in the UK was actually a photo from Canada...

That's the funny thing about etymology: Sometimes a place's name evolves over time to resemble a word from the same language, even though the word and the place's name ave different origins. Essen's name originated with an abbey named "Astnidhi" or "coenobium Astnide".

By the way: Essen was home to the Krupp family, who founded one of Germany's largest steelmaking corporations (now merged with former competitor Thyssen into ThyssenKrupp). During World War II, Essen was known as the "Armory of the Reich".

These days the city has a less threatening nickname, calling itself "The Shopping City".

Welcome to EU pricing. 60+ EUR for leaders, 30+ for voyagers and 20+ for deluxes. And it's been like that síce always, even when USD:EUR was 1 : 1.3

Pst, look at his location. He actually lives in Germany, the country in the topic :) .

I think his post was in reference that most European TF collectors know they can import it for cheaper. Which is ridiculous when you think about it: buying it in another country (USA or Asia) and transport it all over the world by plane is cheaper than getting it in a local store. (Well, at least if you're not screwed over by having to pay import taxes.)

Sometimes it's still cheaper even after import takes, which only makes it worse.

This. If I buy the Takara-version from a Japanese retailer I pay about the same with shipping and taxes. And in the case of smaller figures which are free from taxes it's generally cheaper, even with shipping. And we're talking Takara, that's usually better/more paint as well. Not in this case, but still.

It's sad because I like the thought of buying these toys in a store near me for a good price, but this is just too much and we don't even get the full wave as it looks now.
