Cool, I'm down with that.

Glad those eggs can hold a Voyager-sized figure too, hopefully there's another one in there.

Hopefully that means they do a Flywheels from Blitzwing down the line, provided Hasbro/Takara aren't bothering to.

But where is Flywheels then?

 

Loving the "DUO" on the tailfins. Also I got a laugh in the video when he says they sometimes homage the cartoon and sometimes the toy, but since most people associate Battletrap with the toy they went with that deco. Yeah, Battletrap was never in a cartoon, so.

If I have any critiques, it's that the head seems a bit plain, might could've used an additional highlight color in there, and the gun isn't gray like the original toy. But I love that it can be attached to the underside of the copter cockpit like on the original.

 

Battletrap does look pretty spiffy. him and Packrat will have spots in my collection for shizzle.

hmmm Battletrap being in the yellow egg disproves my theory of the egg colopur being a potential hint towards the contents.

however this lends more credence to the "leaked image" group. which means the others will most likely be a red rts jazz with targetmaster, olive green prime breakdown and purple gen swerve.

 

He was in the Headmaster cartoon, so he may have been referring to that.

Battletrap came out great. They managed to make the original head look really good.

It's okay. I like the new head. Kind of wish there was more color there to break up all that blue. Might try hunting him down on ebay later this year if I have the extra dough. Probably won't because of Combiner Wars, though.

 

Pretty solid reveal. I'll give BotCon 2/2 so far. It's hard to mess up the Springer mold, but even then they still did very well from what the video shows.

I'm guessing the real draw (and likely final reveal) of the set will be whatever they end up doing with the Takara Barricade mold. But thus far it's a Rattrap repaint on a figure that I'm not a huge fan of despite loving Beast Wars, and a repaint of a figure I've bought twice in Springer/Sandstorm.

 

shit, an exclusive I actually want. now I have to spend money.

 

I like that he's mostly blue like the original.

I'm one of those guys who likes that Unite Warriors Dragstrip is 95% yellow. I had also wished that TCC Runabout and Runamuck were 90% black and 90% white instead of adding more of their other colors to them.
