That's cool that all the air force guys were all excited about it. The mention of the 40 year old transformers fans was funny.

Ok, looks like we can confirm that at least one Transformer will have a holographic driver.

Neato! Michael Bay must be doing something right as he always seems to get the best of the best when it comes to military vehicles and personnel.

Wicked cool. That's awesome how they're going to use Holographic drivers for the Transformers.

With everyone aiming at it or running away, it looks like the scene when the unauthorized helicoptor makes a landing.

Man, I cant WAIT to see this giant ass thing get up and transform and lay waste to the base.

They said that the scene they were filming is supposed to be set in the middle east. does anyone think that they will use current events, such as the war over there in the movie?

yeah probably, pity.when you use CURRENT events in a film it ages fatser. thats why I alsways loved the fact that Stargate just says "Present day" at the start.

I at least hope that they wont use current events, not only because it causes the film to feel "aged" in a shorter amount of time, but also because events tend to change really quickly in that part of the world. Between now and 7-4-07, things could be different.

hahahahaahm, they said it could be used as a recruiting tool. THat was so biased towards reporting the military aspect made it almost sound like it's the US Army's Seal of Approval.

well it's the Air Force, and if you want that level of cooperation, you have to submit your materials for an approval process ~ that's why the hardware in ID4 was all models, they didn't get approval, and wouldn't changes aspects of the story to do so (i believe it was centered around the area 51 stuff.)

The recruiting part has me worried a bit. Bay and that Colonel's statements make me think the film will end up somewhat like Armada where the TFs took the backseat to the bloody kids: "Hey look! The military looks awesome! C'mon and join! ...Oh yeah, and here's some Transformers because we had to get you in here to watch are recruitment film- err, enjoy a "movie"." :yuck
