I'm a bit disappointed in their hiding a white Prime face behind his "faceplate"; that wasn't a part of his identity in the original cartoon, so it seems quite out of place in this one.

That said, the gallery was great, especially the recreation of Prime's death. I laughed for some reason seeing Daniel all sprawled over Prime's stomach in the one picture.

The picture of Prime handing over the Matrix. Gets me right in the feels.

    wow. rude much.

    The photos are beautiful.

    anyway, great Photo set.

I love my Magnus. and due to his matte finish, he photographs so well.

Don't sweat his comment Tony. you did a great job on the set. I'm sure tons of the toy photographers here will agree with me as well. ;)

It's cool. I mean hey, if my gear is dusted up I have no problem cleaning. It isn't tho, so I'm curious what triggered the thought. I'm guessing the dust on the glass and/or the white specs on the velvet. I did a quick sweep on both, but neither are 100% perfect. I post-processed over 100 images in less that 3 hours, figured speed trumped perfection on 100+ photos.

    And thanks!

    Very nice photos!

I always find it a bit humorous when people's Masterpiece collection is mixed like the one here. Where someone has a USA Optimus or Rodimus with all the recent TakaraTomy guys. :lol

Keeping the stage clean can be tough. Especially if you are in a hurry and got things to do. Plus black background tend to be really tough to Photograph anyway which seems to be why programs like Photoshop are used to help clean things up. But again, you're a busy fellow and most are highly understanding of that fact. you can't pay attention to every tiny little detail. :lol

Honestly, I doubt most people seeing the photos will even notice. I honestly didn't. I was paying more attention to the toys and the story you were telling. ;)

Haha, yeah I don't do doubles. I get whatever is best, or if I can't wait, Takara regardless.

Until this shoot, I'd been using Hasbro MP10, but I picked up a Takara one this weekend, so the Hasbro one has been retired to the sell bins. :)

    Cool pics!

They make me want to go home and muck around with my Magnus! I barely had any time with him last night because he was one of four new arrivals. :p

I actually had to do a few double-takes last night as I just couldn't believe he was standing there.

Considering we know pretty much zilch about Magnus' past or origins in the G1 cartoon, who's to say?

Does it even matter? It's invisible 99% of the time, so it's really just an 'easter egg' for people who actually think it's cool.

I like the way the inner "prime head" actually is a lot more inspired by the G1 toy version head of Optimus, not his cartoon model... so it still takes on a unique quality.
