How does Windcharger plug onto Prime's gestalt chest?

EDIT: Ah, the ports inside the chest must plug into the hands of the Legends figures alt modes.

 

Wow, just adding a bot to Prime's chest in gestalt mode really makes a positive difference; I'm getting more and more excited for this line!

 

Can't wait for this line! Only one I'm iffy on is Windcharger. Just not a fan of those tiny legs. Lol

Am I the only one hoping on a Fiery Phoenix repaint of Silverbolt? I'm totally getting a Battle Of The Planets vibe from his alt mode.

Still not getting Powerglide, happy with my Ultra. Thundercracker is unnecessary for my collection, and I really don't need another voyager Prime. Everything else is bought on sight.

 

I still don't understand why people disliked this Prime so much when we first saw pics of it. I was ecstatic to see a new Voyager OP. Don't get me wrong, the Classics one is amazing! But the Classics/Generations line has improved a lot in the last 8 years, so it's about time they gave Prime an update.

Now we wait for a MTMTE-inspired Rodimus, and an RID-inspired Galvatron.

 

I'm not sure I can justify paying the same price for Thundercracker that I paid for Starscream/Waspinator. Especially when the Combiner Wars gimmick on those is incredibly forced.

However, if they release a Blackjack figure repainted as Roller to go with Voyager Prime I'd be all over that. You can tell Motormaster/Prime was never intended to have an empty chest in combiner mode.

 

Why do all in-hand pics show Superion's legs backwards?

I know, I know. Geewun. But IMO, it looks more goofy than G1-accurate, especially having backwards knees.


Love the way each Legends figure can form chest armor like that.

The more I see of that Optimus, the more the ultra-thick gorilla-like proportions bug me. Motormaster looks too nice to skip, but for some reason the Optimus variant just feels really awkward. Even the headsculpt is a little 'meh'.

On the bright side, it looks like his legs won't have to be stuck in that super-wide stance, so that's good news for Menasor.

The others are looking good. Bombshell is a bit beefy compared to his fellow Legends. Hm.

Wow didn't think they'd shoehorn the Legends gimmick on Windcharger and TC, but Hasbro found a way to do it.

Man dat Bombshell and Powerglide though. Both bought on site. Also curious how we still have no clue how Bombshell works in this whole Combiner Wars. Windcharger pulls a Blackjack and TC is some sort of chest plate.

 

Windcharger doesn't look as good as the previous version. I get why they're making him from tailgate, since both were repaints in G1, but the last version was so good, it doesn't need the update imo.

 

RTS Windcharger is WAY better IMO. That Tailgate mold is too scawny looking...

That is the same Legends Seeker mold we've been getting though, isn't it? So are the Legends just attaching via some beg holes in them somewhere that works as happy coincidences?

 

Because it looks more like a downgrade than an upgrade. I usually give most combiners a pass on quality since they're technically Triple Changers but since most people don't like the concept of Prime being a Combiner regardless what IDW may have set up for him in this upcoming arc it doesn't get a pass. It just feels like Hasbro w***ing out Optimus in the worst way. So most will just stick with their Classics version from 8 years ago. But by all buy 2 if you like the thing that way it wont sit there clogging up space like those Bayformers do.

Now this I can agree on. An up to date QUALITY Galvatron is way overdue.

Anyway the rest of the relevant figures to this wave are a preorder on sight! Love Powerglide but WTF is up with Bombshells hands????!
It just looks stupid and ruins what could've been another Grade A Legends Class figure! The Beetle mode and the rest of the figure look great though, it just it looks like the designer sacrificed the hands for so lame blasters he wont even need in bug form. Those other 2 Lengends repaints are both a pass though.
