According to Steve Jablonsky's Facebook page, the score for Transformers: Age of Extinction will be released on CD for the first time through LaLaland Records on October 7. Signed copies will be available for a limited time.

Glad people will be able to get their hands on this. I already got it from itunes but this will make those who wanted a CD quite happy. Hopefully it will include Autobots Reunited as well as the other preview songs.

Signed editions will likely be exclusive to film music | movie music | film score | movie score | soundtrack.
They often do limited numbers of signed editions which they send out to the first few hundred to order, the every one after they sell out get a normal disc.

 

Like dragon noted, DotM's score still doesn't have a physical release, does it?

No it will only be available through the La La Land Records website. Anyone selling it elsewhere will have bought it from La La Land and will be reselling it.

Correct. Everyone gets a normal disc, the signed copies are just an additional booklet that comes with the cd so you can swap them or keep the autograph in a safe place.

 

Aw yes. Still saddened by no album, but this is great news!

 

Look forward to getting it, and I'm sure La La will allocate some stock to Amazon. They probably have a seller account on there anyway, since most companies do nowadays. They'd rather not, but Amazon is such a major destination for many consumers who aren't as in the know, that it'd be foolish not to.

 

I hope he releases the complete recording sessions like he did for the other movies.

The only reason this is getting a physical release is because of La La Land and Steve. You can pay through Paypal and they package their CDs very well. I have bought tons of releases from them over the years without a problem.

There will be no preorder. They will be up for sale on Tuesday October 7th at the La La Land website if the release date is what Steve said it would be.

La La Land will post all of the details on their facebook page as the date gets closer. Sounds like Steve signed 200 so that means the first 200 people to order will get the signed copy.
