Just thought I would upload a final pic of Optimus Prime with his upgrades painted. The Deep pearlescent purple from the Testors Model Masters range worked as a solid blue for the feet, shins and hands. I went with Tamiya for the rest of the parts; red and chrome silver. Then semi gloss clear coat.
Not sure I can take credit for this KO version. A few walked in the same shoes before me I think they did a good job with it but I believe they went Masterpiece scale, and I just don't see the market for that with this figure. I'm glad you still think mine is better though Lord DCast. I do too
Can't help but feel they stole your idea, which is a shame. BTW, quick question; does it still work with the Fansproject trailer after this?
Good question. It does work with the trailer. I love that trailer and definitely would not have produced a kit for this figure without accommodating it The Ultra Magnus kit should also work with the Fansproject armor upgrade. Although, I do plan to make some armor mods at some point too When I eventually get set up and printing again ....
Well, I am in the middle of my move to Texas at the moment. I will hopefully have a house this week and hopefully have my stuff delivered a week or so afterwards. June is probably optimistic to get set up again but July should be ok. Glad you're interested in it though. I will let you know as soon as I think I can get things going.
