Big update time! Nautica's all sprued up and ready to go, in time to take advantage of the free US shipping this month that Shapeways are offering.

Just tossing this out here: I will design things in exchange for this year's Botcon figures. If anyone's seriously interested, PM me.

This needs the injection molding treatment... Like right now.

I'd be in for the Nautica upgrade set if you can talk Nonef into it or something.

Unfortunately I can pretty much confirm that this isn't happening. I've worked with Nonnef on some other things (like the CW hip gears) and hope to do so more in the future, but the set as designed isn't suitable for injection moulding and would basically need to be recreated in new software.

Plus, I honestly don't think she'd sell well enough to justify the cost of tooling that many parts for injection moulding.

Aw, that's a shame. Totally understandable though.

Nonnef's also currently swamped with Trivia and all the other CW stuff too.

Yo, Glaug have you thought about a Thunderblast kit for the Arcee mold since she is a shellformer it would seem to be a workable idea...

It'd be pretty pricy? Not impossible, I guess.

If it came out as good as your Nautica kit and similarly priced it'd be in my crosshairs...

Just out of curiosity, what does an Arcee based Thunderblast get you that wasn't in the original? As I recall, she was already basically just an action-figure curled up in a boat shaped shell.

I'd think the shell would put so much weight on the back that you'd have the same issue with Arcee... but it's been quite awhile since I put Thunderblast in storage, so maybe not. The hands is a good point though, and I guess Thunderblast always suffered from monkey-like proportions too. :)

I'd be tempted to just make sure the shell can be used to prop her up... Thunderblast's is about 5mm too short for this!

My day job is burning me out daily at the moment, but that should pass in a few weeks. To tide you all over, some upcoming project teasers:

Something super secret with Nonnef Productions

    Some parts for Fansproject's M3/Diesel

Rolls Royce chest for CW Quickslinger

Some tweaks to that IDW-style Megatron head

    And more!

Speaking of teases, I've realised I never shared this shot of Megatron/Thunderclash.

I've been pretty busy with my day job of late, but I wanted to share something interesting with all of you; A hint of things to come!

I might also have to change the title of this thread, as I do /not/ intend to release this piece via Shapeways, but rather in full-colour injection ABS :)

This is just a teaser of things in the works, but I won't spill beans about any of the others until I have an image preview...

    Let's have some updates :)

Like I said before, I may need to change the title of this thread soon... Because I really won't be releasing much through Shapeways in future.

A while ago, someone was asking me about this. Just got MMC Euphatorium (should be Euphatoria, surely?) and Nautica's head fits, albeit VERY snugly.

Also, this is what you should have left over from a BH Screamer after applying the Nautica bits.
