I think that at this point, that's all everyone is doing. You, Phazer and others don't like the designs, other people do. Where on Earth is going round and round getting us?

No, they were designed with the general public in mind. And did so well Citroen scrapped the non-TF adverts they were going to do in the same campaign, did another TF one, and did a spin off poster campaign and theatrical release of it.

Funny, because Don Murphy has stated they used those ads to pitch the film.

What? A movie made for the general public, and the characters were designed with the general public in mind? It's an outrage!

Phazer was talking about all those car ads with transforming cars. They were made for the general public, yet looked like transformers where as the movie, also made for a general audience, has many transformers that look like total crap, i.e. megatron.

 

I think they do realize that, and is a factor in why they dislike what they do.

Get used to the fact the world does not revolve around you (collective you here, as in any fandom, hobby, etc...).

I took a look in the Movie section at the photomanip someone did that put in "blocky" designs into a real life scene. At seeing that my initial thought was "okay, this is why they didn't go that route". For every REALLY GOOD blocky-bot in CGI, there's more that look horrible. I can see where they could make the choice that it may not work for this film, and I'm willing to wait and see how it all looks. That said, I wonder how they may tweak Megatron's head.

 

Actually, there are some things about the designs seen so far that I love. Some things that I consider need to be tweaked. Other things that I absolutely hate (Starscream/Megatron).

I just think that -some- people have more than made their opinions known, and there seems to be -no- sense in rehashing said opinions a MILLION times over.

Oh, and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE (please with a cherry on top) to see you reinterpret Starscream and Megatron. If anyone has the talent to merge the old and new, it would be you.
