So... when is Classics Galvatron going to be officially announced?

I'd love a Wheeljack too.

 

I don't think we'll hear anything about him till Botcon, as what they said at this past years botcon, and I think SDCC too, is enough confirmation (imo) that they will be making a Classics Galvatron, though it would be nice of them to tell us like they have Prowl, and possibly let us know what he'll turn into.

Id just like him to return to being a Z since EJ SU made prowl a 350Z which I felt as being a good nod to the line.

I didnt care for him being an acura integra in the alts line.

good news, but I'll get more excited with decepticon news   I'm not pining for the cars so much cause we got the awesome alternators versions of them (except ironhide/ratchet of course). bring on cassetticons, shocky, the remaining triple-changers, etc...

 

From what we were shown @ Botcon last year, Sunstreaker & Sideswipe are 2 entirely different molds. They look virtually the same in car mode, but they each transform totally different and are near dead ringers to how they appeared in G1. At least based on the concept drawings we saw.

As for the WW design of Prowl (or any WW design for that matter) being made into plastic versions, I'm all for it *only if* they branched out and did a separate WW sub-line since it would make zero sense having Cybertronian WW designs mixed in with Earth mode Classics. Plus I would prefer the sub-line "all or nothing" approach since I don't want to go though the same headaches we got with the Titaniums where there were a lot of character gaps (Skywarp) and/or wonky character decisions (Ultra Magnus & Sunstorm).

But what I would REALLY like to see Hasbro do more than anything is re-release Titanium G1 Rodimus Prime, Ultra Magnus & Scourge in more posable plastic Classics form. And of course make Magnus bigger when doing so.

 

The 350Z is my favorite/dream car - I'd have no problem with that!!  

I even made my first original character into a 350Z convertible!!

 

Funny thing is, other than the head and their weapons, they share the same mold. Hasbro has figured out a way for it to be able to transform two different ways to get homages to both Sunstreaker and Sideswipe. Personally, I hope we get to see some prototypes for them at Botcon (earlier is prefered but unlikely imo).

I'm glad he's getting a figure in Classics 2.0/ NEW Universe, but if they MUST repaint him for a BotCon Exclusive, give him the Mexican Police color scheme and call him "Agua Sucia".   Save the BlueishSilverstreak and Smokescreen repaints for the mainline, though I'm sure that's Hasbro's TF Team's plan. Now if they'd retool Smokescreen with a different head and car bumper....

I just watched ENI's video of the panel meeting yesterday, actually - they clearly say that though the concept art has them transform the same, they figured out a way to have the chests transform differently.

 

Yup, my bad. I was sure they were different molds that just transformed into the same alt mode, but I see I was wrong after looking at the panel pics again. Sorry 'bout that.

 

I wonder if they are considering Shockwave. I just hope he ends up in Classics.

Well, we know he'll turn up in Animated at some point. So I kinda doubt it.

Though I'd LOVE to see an update on him. Given that he may not show in Animated for a while (no mention of him in the synopses) he could potentially be in an early wave.

Pity Titanium was cancelled - their Shockwave was sweet. They even put the front of the gun somewhere on him whereas it's ALWAYS disappearing magically like Prime's trailer.

i can see how just twisting his torso around and re-engineering his shoulders/head/arms transformation could make a fairly faithful G1 Sunstreaker. Not exact, but a must have.

I hope the Triple Changer is as large as Optimus. Thats what kinda pissed me off about the Seekers and Astrotrain. They just felt too small to me. Thats my only peeve with Transformers...."mass shifting" and how they are perpetually out of scale.....this coming from the guy who thinks Megatron + Soundwave = win.

So Prowl has been officially announced, cool. Here's hoping for Bluestreak and Smokescreen redecos, which is pretty much a given anyway, but I'll still be crossing my fingers.
