    Hi all,

I had an idea of using a Generations Drift mold and changing it to resemble the Drift Concept sketched by Guido Guidi.

The one on the left is the one I'm talking about:

I have a Drift that's already been modified, but I need help finishing. What's most important to me is that it still retains the ability to transform into its alt mode.

From the bottom up, the feet need some kind of heel so it doesn't fall backwards. It stands fine but if you have a Warbot Defender, it has the same problem. Probably a flat piece of styrene glued to the bottom of each foot would fix it.

    Example:

Next is a waist swivel. This is important because it allows the legs to fold back up into alt mode. I took the screws off from Drift's backside and took apart the torso and waist. I did some initial scoring to the plastic, but was hesitant to finish seeing as I lacked any way to add the waist swivel.

    Example:

Now the arms are the tricky part. They need to be repositioned to where the wheel would sit. The wheel also needs to be cut off of the forearm and repositioned to the shoulder like the concept art. There is a hole where a rod could fit through that can attach to the wheel to the shoulder, the only problem is how to put the modded arm back onto the car shoulder bit. In terms of folding the arm back into alt mode, I find that if the Autobot insignia is facing out on each arm, it folds up like how it originally would, albeit backwards. The inside might need some extra carving and shaving in order for the arm to fit snuggly back in.

Finally, the head. I need the head crest and horns resculpted to resemble the concept art. Basically it should look like the samurai helmet that bludgeon wears. There is a screw in the back of the head that would allow that portion of the head to come right off. This way, the back of the head, eyes and face can remain as it, and there would be no need to cast an entirely new head. It would also retain its light piping, too.

I've attached some pictures of the progress I've made, and what needs to be done. I'll be providing my Drift along with extra plastic pieces that I saved after cutting it up. I know this is a lot of information, but I've pretty much got everything planned out, but I lack the necessary materials and experience to finish it. This is my first ever custom after all.

PM me if you are interested in picking up the project. I can't offer much, but I'm willing to pay a reasonable price. I am open to negotiations. Let me know if you'd need any more info.

    Thanks for the interest everyone!

Hmm, seems like the shoulders should be attached like DOTM ironhide, behind the wheels...

    Yep, that's the plan.
