Oh, nice! I hadn't even thought of that placement. I'm glad my mod could offer some inspiration. :)

I'm totally doing this to the upcoming AoE Evolution version of this mold, that looks great! So simple and effective. Home run, good sir!

Well poop my pants... I hate parts-forming as they call it, but I think I hate that bad arm kibble more. I might just do this to mine.

Oh I like that backpack placement.

The only thing that has bothered me more than those doors is the grill in bot mode. I hate how it doesn't go all the way up and has that gap. I really wish some one would design a new one in shape ways that is full length and plugs in to that gap.

I'll think about plucking up the courage to try this.

    Nice work.

Just touch the soldering iron to the metal pin a few seconds at a time and keep checking. It should pull off relatively easy once the plastic around the pin has melted.

The whole set of mods in this thread have been really interesting. However, I do really like this mod. Any chance of getting some pics of the actual hole placement? That would be appreciated, thanks.

I used a 5mm drill bit from Amazon. You could also just use a more common 3/16 drill bit and just kind of move the drill around in circles as you drill to widen the hole slightly.

I believe kalron's placement used the existing 5mm screw hole in the back of the shoulder. No drilling required. :)

Here's a picture. You can also see the short peg on the arm kibble once it has been removed.
