Drift is finished. (I think) There are no car pictures, because none of the work I've done effects the car at all (and I may or may not transform him). I may take another pass at the swords. I did them that way to match the style of the face, but they look a little sloppy to me. (or I may get used to it and never think about it again) I like him, although this is easily the worst done mold of the AOE figures I have so far. But what's not to like about a Samauri autobot. Enjoy!
I can take pictures if you'd like when I finish and photograph him. (I'm actually pretty close now) But it's simple and also stock. There are two diagonal slots in the sword blade. On the lower right and left corners of the panel the short swords plug into there are tabs that plug into the slots.
If you didn't see it, I did a whole gallery on him when I finished him. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/982956-wip-high-octane-bb.html It's funny. I'm very happy with how Drift is coming together. But with BB and Galvatron it was shocking to discover that there were actually really nice toys/molds hidden inside horrendous deco/plastic choices. Bee especially is fantastic except that these guys are just too small. Drift is a so so mold. It's a very intriguing idea for a character, so I have to love it for that. But with him the paint is hiding the mold's shortcomings.
Another example as to how the lack of paint apps really hurts the new AoE toyline... Thought Drift wasn't bad by any means... but man... quite the amount of detail that is also lost on that figure too. Nice work.
That will make for a very strange paradox when I'm looking at yours later and thinking I should have held off on doing my own to buy yours... (I've been wasting all sorts of time to paint this guy where I really should be doing other stuff- and yours are always better) BTW, I'll probably have my finished one up to see tomorrow. I think I've got about two more paint sessions to finish mine, then I'll knock out the finished pictures of him, Galvatron and Battle Blades BB all at once and post them. You Galvatron was certainly an influence on what I had planned to do with mine- although it ended up going somewhere a bit different. I'm honored.
The honor is all mine. I'm just a dude doing what he loves. Having fans is still kinda mind blowing to me but you guys sure know how to make me smile.
