The '74 transforms similarly to the rest of them. The only one that transforms differently I'd the nitro BB from DotM.

True - that's why I bought that figure too.

But, I was referring to the moving of the hood to the back of the calf...

It still does the same thing, doesn't it? I don't remember off hand, but neither here nor there, what I'm saying is that it would still use the mech alive gimmick, but add in an additional hinge to swing down afterits normal transformation. Going to attempt to draw it up sometime over the next few days to make more senseof it ;) .

Fair enough - can't wait to see what you come up with.

Ok, this one is your you closetrat!! So that standard leg transformation looks like this

I want to make it do this.

The part of the fender that connects to the moving piece in the leg, I want to separate that from the fender itself, and put the fender onto a ball joint sui that it can fold downward into the calf area, :) .

Also, sorry for the sideways pictures, :-/.

Looks fundamentally simple - think you can squeeze those parts into the space available?

Yea, I think the tiny ball joints I'll be using in the wrists should fit the spot nicely :) .

Ok!! So no work done to the calf areas yet. However, I've come up with an interesting idea for the fender pieces that should be along side the chest!! From this point, it'll be using a nylon hinge barrel piece that will be glued to the fender piece which SHOULD allow it to slide back and forth while running the paper clip through the gray parts that hold the front of the chest/front of the car to the hood piece will allow the parts to slide out from the body enough to slide past the corners of the chest pieces themselves. I may need to actually need to JB weld the nylon hinge onto the fender piece however, because it seems my super glue isn't strong enough to hold it on ( the reason it isn't present in any pictures)

In this first picture, you'll see I made a trench of sorts for a bent over piece of the clip tosit in tokeep the fender piece stationary while in bot mode. Not sure yet what ilk be doing about this for car mode just yet, maybe some small tabs to keep the part level... I'm sure I'll figure it out though, :)

Thanks, bud! I have to grab some more thin paper clips to help finish this out, but I think that this is going to work nicely. Now if only those new ball joints would hurry up and get to my so I can get to work on the rest of my ideas for the chest..

It completely works!!! The next thing that's going to happen is going to be getting a set of the split chest pieces from Savio Prime and apply this to those. However, I'm going to be doing a double ball joint in the chest with the ball on the car parts using a revoltech type joint from hobby base(?) which will still allow the chest pieces to slide along each other for transformation.

Those are the nylon hinges for radio controlled airplanes. Next time I'm in the hobby store, I'll try to get the name of them for you. There is a slight issue with this set up, in that the fender piece literally sits RIGHT ON the front of the chest pieces this way.
