First time posting in Radicons

Here is Monster Convoy-I always loved the name from the Armada days and since it was never used I've wanted to apply it somewhere.
He is made from the simplified Voyager Beast Hunters Optimus, with parts from Construct-Bots Optimus and a few from Megatron as well.

The simplified Op is a nice toy in may ways; big, chunky and fun to handle. However he needed help
I wanted to create something that had a slight anime feel to it and had the atmosphere of something you could have picked up in the early 90's.

    Monster truck mode

Due to being created completely from the Construct-Bots parts, the weapons unit can be configured in many different ways, taken apart and used as seperate pieces, and at one point I had it as a small base good for use with 'Nebulan' figures, and I thinkg I also had it as a jet. Obviously any 5mm weapon could also be attached in many ways.

Finally, a 'base' mode; A little flimsy I know, but I love Base formers and I wanted him to be able to interact with cyberverse and scouts :)

The biggest modification was creating and adding the backpack that holds the head and the tanks that flank the truck mode. I wanted the tanks to mimic back muscles. Here's a few w.i.p pictures I took during working. Not great, but hopefully it shows what's been done :)

Nothing has to be removed for transformation to any mode.

Thanks for looking, any questions and tips are welcome. :)

That is just awesome. Using constuct bots parts to fill him up is really a good idea.

VERY nice indeed. I had the idea to use the Constructobots Optimus head for my retooling...I KNEW it would look bad ass!

    SALUTE!

    Thanks folks!

Yeah, using the construct bots pieces does make him a lot of fun, and adds potential to equip him with a lot more cool stuff. The ball joints and c-clip joints definetly came in handy! I was surprised how much cutting and modding I ended up doing to a lot of the parts, but it was fun and they certainly were useful.

Well...Most of it is factory ;P The most painting I did was covering the red areas in red enamel, and of course the details. I also had to paint a couple of the construct bot parts, but I'd say he is roughly 50-60% factory anyway :)
    ....
But I'll take the compliment :D

Thanks! It's a nice looking head. Has that stylized feel that Transformers had back in the days near G2. I bought the Construct bots set purely for the head...but all those extra pieces put so many ideas in my head :D

Ya know... I was considering buying that Construct Bots Prime kit for that head the other day... now I want this Voyager to go with that head (and parts).

    I like this. Good stuff!

No, not quite. A small few came from the Megatron kit. I remember the black parts for the guns are from megatron, maybe the odd c-clip joint as well. :)

You just made the official upscaled version of Cyberverse Hunter Prime a garbage.

    I love it.
