Hey Guys, made thigh extensions for Warden to improve his proportions somewhat. He can't do head mode anymore but he can still do tank mode, will get those pics up later.

This may be common knowledge, but where's that sweet gun from?

Also that leg extension looks like it came like that from the factory. Excellent job.

Thanks guys, the gun is from FP Colossus upgrade parts. I still say FP need to release the guns as a stand alone set.

That thigh extension does make all the difference. Fort Max's height is much more intimidating as it should be. After all, he is a big guy!

Hmmm. What is that you used as the extension and how, please? I can't make it out. Was curious, because after playing around with my Warden today and seeing what you did, this makes a hell of a lot of sense to do.

I took the thigh apart via the tiny screw that holds the joint in place then cut it in half using a small hack saw (note; the cover that hides the screw was wedged in too tight or glued, and as such needed to be drilled out). Then I cut two 5mm rods to half an inch each, super glued them in the middle of each thigh length wise, and used them as the first extension point. After the super glue dried on the 5mm rods, I used Apoxie Sculpt (the white stuff you see in the pic) to make the basic thigh shape. Lastly, I filled the gaps with Tamiya putty and then just sanded it to shape.

I suppose you can skip the 5mm rod step and just go to the Apoxie Sculpt part, but it will give less uniform extensions since you will basically be eye balling the new length.

Off topic but the lighting on your photos make it look like a CGI rendering. Awesome!

Love the upgrade, it looks so much better. This makes me wonder...hmnn.... Can someone make a set of replacement thigh that can extend to give the figure the needed height in robot mode and contract to allow the the head transformation? I'm sure lots of Warden owner would buy it. Think about it ;)

I'm sure it can be done, making them some what collapsible into itself would make the head mode possible.

Next project after shotguns?!? I'm finally picking this guy up in the next few days, and I agree that the legs are the only things that have me turned off even after all the stellar reviews.
