The new Armada Starscream jumped at me as an opportunity to get Dai Atlas on my shelf. My dremel died on me, so I haven't had a chance to sand down and sculpt the crown, so it's a little lopsided at the moment. Aside from a few touch ups, he's mostly done until I replace my dremel battery. And just because Iw anted to show them together, I put him next to a Star Saber I made form a Gundam kit last year.

Star Saber's alt mode's gonna look horrible with you using the AGE-2 Double Bullet.

 

someone did a similar commission for me a while ago for star saber, with some mild mods, but rather than a straight repaint i asked the dude to add more panels on the chest, adjust head antennas, add wings for alt mode

and most importantly, use a AGE-1 gun for nosecone. very simple solution (though you will have to buy 2 model kits for the project). either way, results are not too shabby

Reinforces my belief that someone needs to 3d model some heads to convert Gundam models into tf characters

 

well, in star saber's case, we just snap off the V-shape antenna and move them to the side, and sand off the chin. it's a minor mod but totally doable, though OP is just doing a straight repaint that's all

 

True, I used a Gundam Airmaster Burst for my Skyfall ( whose G1 design was very Gundam like anyway so he looks perfectly fine as a straight repaint) but IMO there are a lot of transformable gundams that lend themselves very well to being classics style transformers, I myself feel that the Zeta Gundam would make a great Krok with a new head.

Actually that is pretty cool alt mode. Taking away the shoulder guns will make it more show accurate  . Now that question is who are you going use as Victory Leo?

 

If your dremel died, check the bushings: they may just need to be repositioned or replaced.

As for the project: really nice! I love the materials and base figures you used!
