Forgive the weird way my camera keeps fluctuating on how it handles lighting.

Okay so this is my one last bit of icing on what is probably the best figure from the original trilogy TF movies, leader Class ROTF Optimus Prime.
I was looking through boxes for good guns to go on the UFO weapons ring/base mode and saw some of these neat human alliance figures. They didn't used to look all that cool to me but after seeing pics and reviews on some of the new AoE figures, these obscure ROTF figures suddenly sparkled with potential.

The plan is to make 3 big-ass Targetmaster weapons for the UFO Trailer ring that look neato attached to Optimus and have tons of playability and possible display options.
Each Targetmaster will be like Whirl here, with 3 modes and colors that don't stray far from optimus himself. They can be robots to fight alongside Prime, his heavy weapons (ion cannon, gatling beam, and grinder chainsaw) that can store in the ring, or become small vehicles that can be stored in the trailer. All 3 will have their own holo-human. That's what I'm calling them. Holo-doodes.
Whirl here calls his holo-human Matt Trakker.

Although he isn't one of the bigger robots, Whirl has no known weaknesses and can survive amazing punishment, which is good since he is more than a little reckless. When hunting, his head becomes a large and oddly intimidating single yellow light, seeking Whirl's next Decepticon prey.

I love this. Bought all those human alliance sets as they totally remind me of M.A.S.K.

Thanks guys. I know most people will see this and go "Oh, that old figure", then move on, but I really think when all 3 are done and attached to Optimus or his trailer ring, it will be fairly cool looking. It wasn't till the UFO trailer came out that I finally got an idea of what to do with these.

I dig this, and I dig the original figure too. It was always pretty cool. I changed his name to Dust-Off, made him a Wrecker and use him as Springer's minigun. Glad to see him get some love. Nice going.

Looking at it, it appears that you could add some small, thin Cresent moon shaped claws with a pin into his hands that would also look like tail stabilizers...just a thought. Your idea for this project is killer bud.

VERY clever usage of that figure, as it's spot on to Matt Tracker. Whirl is excellent as well. :thumb

Hah you're right, and that's a good idea! I promised myself NO MODS except what I absolutely have to on these though, since I have too much else I'm supposed to be doing. Plus if he looked too much like any actual previous interpretation of Whirl, he wouldnt fit into movieverse, hah. You know, cus Bay's bots never look much like the original.
I'm hoping to have all 3 done within a week's time.

Haha yeah man I was only planning to paint him colors that went well with Whirly, but then for some reason I just had to paint his hair bright yellow. After I did it, I realized why. I had Trakker on the brain. Almost went back and repainted his suit gray and red too, heh.

GUYS, some help naming the next one would be nice!
Its the snowmobile, Icepick, but I am repainting him to an autobot female (heck, might have already been female).
She is blue and silver mostly. Names I have in mind so far are "Snowbunny", "Blizzard", "Frostbyte", and "Treadsaw".
